I’m writing a review based on my recent experience with Carter and King. Their service has been excellent so far. I raised an enquiry regarding a few property visits, and they responded very quickly and efficiently in arranging them. A special mention to Mr. Edward, he has been amazing throughout the process. He truly listens to and understands our requirements, which has made the experience much smoother. We are still in the process of finding the right property, but once we do, I’ll be able to share a more detailed and complete review. For now, I can confidently say that the service has been impressive.

Whilst I am neither a buyer or a vendor with Carter and King, I have had the absolute displeasure of having to deal with their incompetence whilst my landlord has been trying to sell his property. As someone who has previously had a career in estate agency, I can categorically say with confidence Carter and King have a complete lack of people skills and customer service. Notice for viewings was appalling, depsite me mentioning that having the property vacant around our availabilty was key. Viewings on occasion didn't even happen, and they didn't even have the common courtesy to inform us. Generally absolutely shocking. We're very lucky to have a good relationship with our landlord, who has been nothing but appologetic on their behalf, but the icing on the cake was Carter and King blaming us as tennants for their own mistakes, sighting us as being "particularly difficult to work with". It's a real shame really, as like many agents in the area they have a number of new build properties available directly from the developer. We might have explored options with them, as we are looking to purchase our first home, but after having such a poor experience with them even as tenants, we'll be listening to the other reviews and steering well clear. Edited to include my reply to carter and king below: Whilst I agree I am not a DIRECT customer, carter and king should take ownership of their mistakes, rather than blaming their incompetence on other people. Imagine a world where you can accuse someone of being “difficult to work with” then have the audacity to say that the review of their behaviour and conduct is irrelevant as I’m not a direct customer. If this is how you treat people who aren’t even your clients, imagine what that says about how you treat your actual customers. Further proof that this is an estate agent that clearly only cares about lining its pockets. What an embarrassment of a company.

Unfortunately we can’t leave a positive review. The whole buying process through carter and king was a shambles. The lack of communication was pitiful. There was absolutely no communication between the staff in the establishment. It took us well over 2 months to even get a second viewing on the house. They failed to get key information for the seller which massively slowed the sale down. Due to lack of communication and to make sure we didn’t loose the sale of our property we had to move out and was forced to put all our belongings into storage. Just an absolute shambles and would unfortunately not recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell. Hopefully they can improve on this.

Despite the many good reviews I can give only 2 stars. After talking to Yousef we decided to sell our house with C&K but we really regret it. They only focused on the buyers and not us. There were lack of communications and not professional at all. We had to welcome viewers because Morgan was late about 15 mins , when she arrived we had to leave our house, that was an akward sitaution. When we couldn't make a viewing appointment Morgan talked to us in a really rude way. Before selling we have already moved out from UK and dropped the keys at C&K yet they still asked us to host the viewing. If you want a smooth and relaxed selling go with someone else.

Renting our property with Sheli at Carter & King has been very easy from start to finish. Sheli is incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions from the first visit, and also very patient, as there have been a lot of questions. The viewings were all arranged on the same day, which made the whole process much smoother. She recognises and understands the local rental market and prices the property to rent, this was evident in 18 viewings booked. She has organised the rental right through to informing our service providers of our move and giving metre readings. We would strongly recommend Sheli to anyone thinking of renting their property, both her and all the staff at Carter & King are friendly, professional and approachable.
