GoogleI have had a disappointing experience with Martin & Co. On completion of my 7 year tenancy, I promptly completed the DPS form and released the deposit to the landlord. However a week later, both myself and my guarantor were contacted by the Head of Lettings at Martin & Co Wanstead who said the landlord was growing impatient and threatening legal action. He had failed to check that the funds had already been released and were sitting in Martin & Co’s account, inconveniencing myself, the landlord and my guarantor unnecessarily.
Despite the response below, nobody has spoken to me on the phone to explain/apologise/resolve this issue. It’s really disappointing to be treated in this way.

I believe our lettings manager has spoken to you on the phone about the issues that you have raised and as you are aware the Landlord had us instructed as a tenant find only 7 years ago, we dealt with your viewing, your references and providing you with the property in question as accepted by the landlord, we do not manage the property, therefore during your 7 year tenancy your correspondence and issues would have been through your Landlord direct. We have already mentioned to you about the deposit and as you are aware this has now been resolved.
