I used Shoeni Oates, Imogen Simpson and the team to rent out my property on a fully-managed basis and I was impressed with their professionalism, helpful and welcoming manner, knowledge and efficiency - they found good tenants in a matter of days. James helped me buy my new dream house and went above and beyond at every step, going through renovation options, planning options, connecting me with his contacts in property development, carefully negotiating pricing, letting me view the property multiple times and was highly available every step of the way. I've never experienced such superb customer service and I have the utmost respect for and trust in James. Highly recommend. We just bought our first home. As first-time buyers we didn't know much about the process, especially about making the offer and negotiating the price. Throughout the whole process James from JDW was super helpful, responsive and professional. He told us what to do at every step of the way, answered all of our (sometimes naive) questions, and chased the information/documentation from the sellers. 5 star Agents! It started on a viewing with James who was different from other agents, he wasn’t pushy and didn’t try and sell me the property we viewed, even though it was clear I liked it and subsequently made an offer - James was disarmingly honest and knowledgeable and booked me in with Jake for an appraisal on my own house. Jake, the Wandsworth branch’s manager, was very impressive. Unlike the other big agents who also appraised my house, Jake was more interested in my situation and helping me achieve what I needed, than just getting me to sign his sales terms and sell as quick as possible! This I found refreshing and I chose to instruct Jake based on this and his obvious ability. Once I had instructed John D Wood to sell my house, the service I got was second to none! Whenever I called there was always someone charming on hand to speak to and although my situation was not at all straight-forward and I am sure I was quite a difficult client for them, I was always made to feel like the centre of the property universe. When it came to results John D Wood were very driven and did not let a tough market stop them from sourcing me a great buyer. Shae, another member of their sales team, was a complete star in sourcing my buyer who, to put it simply set a price per square foot record on my road! More importantly than this, Shae's buyer was perfect for my house and I know they will have many years of happiness there. I rented this apartment for a two-month stay. It was a disappointment. Throughout the stay, there were consistent delays in resolving basic matters. Requests often went unanswered and required multiple follow-ups. You should be warned that there is construction in the building next door. The agency and landlord did not disclose this. Most concerningly, despite having departed the apartment months ago and received a report from them that everything was left in great condition, we have still not received the security deposit. It seems that their delays may not have just been bad service but rather bad faith.
