GoogleWe chose JDW from other local agents as they had a good reputation for customer service and i had successfully previously used them for the sale of my mother's house a few streets away, albeit a long time ago. From the very start to team reacted very quickly and also understood that the sale may be protracted due to Probate issues and delays at the probate office because of staff problems. I met Shae Preece at the house by appointment and he was fully clued as to the target sale price and the target potential purchasers. Within a few days the details were agreed and printed and viewings commenced. I was most impressed at the daily summaries of viewings and the tactics suggested. Offers came in quickly and we went to best offer and found a family that we were pleased to sell to and who offered the highest sale price. Probate remained an issue so we rented the house by special agreement to the prospective purchasers as they needed somewhere to live and we needed a secured house. JDW continued in regular updates and relayed my updates on the probate issue to the buyers. All through the sale JDW demonstrated a professional, empathetic and personal approach and we finally exchanged contracts before Christmas with exchange due 6th January 2022 ,for a very satisfactory sale price. I would have no hesitation in recommending JDW and in particular, Shae Preece, for their excellent service and personal attention to our probate sale. It has been a pleasure dealing with them. GoogleMy partner and I viewed a property shown by James Setright. We were particularly impressed with his knowledge, not only of the property but the surrounding area and approximate costs of renovations we were considering. He was incredibly professional, making us feel comfortable and informed enough to put in an offer, whilst representing his vendor to the best of his abilities. We very strongly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. Thanks for making a stressful experience a lot less stressful! To add to this. We just exchanged on this property and James has remained available and supportive throughout. He was a huge help with our difficult solicitor and a real asset for the whole experience. We also met his colleague Stewart who was similarly knowledgeable and helpful with the whole process. Overall, seems to be an outstanding agency in general.

I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!

Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

GoogleI would highly recommend John D Wood in Trinity Road Wandsworth. They are exceptionally professional and this was evident from first meeting them and compared to other large and active estate agents in the area. I had confidence in their valuation, it was well explained. I felt that they knew the market. The whole process of selling was made straight forward. Every arrangement was kept to e.g. photographs, sign and sign repair (when high winds disturbed it) and most importantly viewings. There were some difficulties along the way with the buyer's mortgage and our agents really seemed to go beyond what I would have expected to help resolve this. The sale went through quickly and most of this was because of the efforts put in by the agent. Any contact was friendly and courteous. I think they worked exceedingly hard to earn the fee we agreed. The price we accepted was above the guide price.

GoogleJames helped us to find a 2 bedroom flat to rent in October 2014 in the Wandsworth Common area. Right from the start, James was extremely easy to deal with, very polite, friendly and efficient. He was not at all pushy and this was something we really appreciated as so many of the other agents had been far too pushy with us and not listened to our needs at all. James is very professional and nothing is too much trouble for him. He always listened carefully to what we wanted. We would thoroughly recommend him and definitely use him again should we need to in the future. Hope and Catriona Murdoch
