I just rented the house and underfloor heater is not working from the first day and temperatrure is 16 degrees. Also is really important to come someone to do WELCOME HOME showing how the house works, heater, heating time for shower, date to colect rubish and recicle...etc

I’ve been in regular dialogue with Akikur over a period of time. He’s always made time to explain his thoughts and the rationale behind his decisions. So when it came to letting my property, Akikur was the first person I thought of because of our rapport and the ease of dealing with someone like Akikur.

EDIT:Chesterton's have contacted me and have sent a person over about 12 hours after my review. They are working on a plan of action to resolve the issues. I will post updates on here.I have had an absolutely horrible experience ever since I moved in. When I went to view the flat, it had mould and water damage and I was hesitant to take it due to those issues. The Chesterton's agents assured me that those would be all fixed prior to my move in. I insisted to put those in the contract as a prerequisite for my move in, and they agreed. I thought everything was going to be fine.Well guess what, it wasn't. None of the work that was supposed to be done prior to my move in had been done. They claimed that the landlord was unresponsive, but nobody told me that despite daily phone calls. I had issues with the key pickup, malfunctioning washing machine, broken dishwasher, faulty electrical wiring in the bathroom (likely due to water damage) and myriad of other issues.So far it has been 7 weeks since I highlighted those issues and a grand total of 0 work has been done on the flat. The property manager seldom replies to emails as he is perpetually busy or on holiday, and when I pop in person to the office they are always "just about to call me" or "just about to answer my email".The moto of this agency should be "99% of your problems go away if you simply ignore them", because that's their attitude to completing flat repairs, or upholding their side of a contract they have signed.I am certain that if my rent is late for even one day I'd be bombarded with threatening phone calls and emails, but if half of my kitchen is out of service for 2 months, they can just always say "waiting for a landlord approval".

Been dealing with Chestertons for many years, with many individuals...Although I recognise there are some decent individuals, as in any organisations, recurring behaviours include:- Outright lies- Being disrespectful (laughing at you for asking a question, shouting at you over the phone)- Lack of responsiveness- Shifting the blame on others and/or on the person coming with a query Witnessed this with front office (lettings and sales); back office (renewals, prop management), at different levels of seniority

I have and am having one of the worst experiences letting from Chestertons. There have been three instances already where the agent has mis-sold on commitments when we view the property and then what we finally agreed on. They even threaten to forfeit the holding deposit if we do not move forward, which I do not know if its legal before signing the agreement, whether they can forfeit or no. But they just bully the tenants. All this has happened even before the tenancy has begun and I do not know what all I have to face with them once we actually are using the property and reach out to them if there are any problems.Also, there is literally no escalation that I have realized. I have tried to request to speak to someone senior but the agent has just denied. They even denied to meet in person in the office. As a suggestion, I would recommend you to not work with this agency in the first place. However, if that is not an option and you really like the property, I would recommend you to really get everything clarified everything. I would not recommend you to trust their word or any other verbal promise on the call. They just go back on their word very easily and it has happened thrice with me already now.
