Definitely recommend central as I have personally done work experience with them for a week but in that week I really enjoyed myself. The week before I had worked in a solicitors did not like it at all compared to working here. I definitely recommend them for work experience as they are outgoing, friendly and welcoming!

We sold our house through Central mid 2020 during the pandemic. Throughout the process they were attentive and responsive although to be honest our sale was pretty straightforward so didn't require a lot of assistance. Their staff were very knowledgeable about the area and I think this helped when it came to marketing the property. Due to market conditions I'm sure we wouldn't have had trouble selling with any other agent but I have no doubt that Central got it done quicker and achieved the best price due to their experience.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

The sales team gets some good reviews but their lettings team are a joke. Arrogant and aggressive guys who push hard to close a deal but dont communicate or answer questions without being sarcastic. Moving in day was a disaster as the woman managing the property didnt give us the right keys, and got the date for the inventory wrong - they came the day after we had moved in. And maintenance has been a joke - they dont turn up and we work full time so waste half a day from work. Terrible terrible. We are sorry the landlord chose to use them. Avoid!!

One of the worst agent I have ever dealt with! And in last 10 years I have moved houses more than 10 times. We have arrange a viewing for Saturday around 3.00pm. We were there 10 min early waiting on a hot day with our 1.5 year old baby and guess what no one turned up and they did not even call us at all. Our baby was crying and we were waiting there basically for nothing. then we called them on Monday to find out why they were unable to attend, They told us they will investigate and let us know but later on we have seen online the property was let agreed already. And they did not even call us back to tell us that on Monday so we did not even get an update from them. They dont even deserve 1 star to be honest. On initial impressions they seemed pleasant enough, but after trying to deal with them after finding a house to rent, things deteriorated. No-one answered calls or emails, and questions we had went unanswered. The letting team were very unhelpful and almost aggressive in their dealings with us - when we finally got someone on to talk to. We ended up walking away from the house because we could only see trouble ahead if they were going to manage the property as well. We found much friendlier and more professional help elsewhere. We are considering lodging a formal complaint as we lost money through this and caused us huge distress. I would run away now.

I recently used Central Estates to purchase my first property and would highly recommend to anyone looking in the area. I visited every estate agent in both Walthamstow and Leyton and they were without doubt the most impressive, I registered with pretty much everyone though Central in my experience were most professional and keen to help. They send out an emails stating when viewings of new property is available, and booking of viewings was quick and efficient with them sending out email / text confirmation with the times and dates, which really helps with planning a weekend of viewings. Richard who I dealt with was honest and open and always willing to go the extra mile, providing me with recommendations and contacts which as a first time buyer was very useful.

Proper cowboys! We had the misfortune of buying through Central Estates recently. Unfortunately they're almost unavoidable, as they're popular with vendors in the area. Their success is perhaps in no small part due to the unscrupulous practice they employ to make sales. We ended up having to deal with them on 3 properties, as our 2 earlier purchases fell through and everything we wanted to go for was on their books. Our first attempt was perhaps the most infuriating. James, the agent, told us the first accepted buyer was not able to get funds together and their purchase was falling through, so the property was back on the market. In addition to this he also lied to us about the original accepted asking price, adding 30K to what we can now see the property went for (on the Land Registry). We had an offer accepted, instructed a solicitor, and booked a survey only to be told a month in that the first buyers weren't having issues after all and our agreed offer wasn't valid anymore. We later heard that 'contract chasing', or accepting a number of offers simultaneously to hedge their bets on a sale, is something Central are known for!! When we finally were in the closing stages of property no. 3 a solicitor for our buyers was being slow to put through the exchange, holding up 5 purchases in a chain. We had other estate agents up the chain lending a hand to get things rolling on Central's sale but getting help from Central was very hard. Our vendor commented several times that they'd provided very poor service. If you can, AVOID buying or renting through Central. If you're considering using them to sell or lease your property I urge you to reconsider, they may have the numbers but their service is poor and their business practice is deceitful.

I cannot advise strongly enough against using Central if you can possibly avoid it. Their incompetence cost us thousands of pounds and we never even received an apology. We were first time buyers on what should have been a very straightforward purchase, and due to the negligence and incompetence of their staff our purchase fell through. They never ever contacted us at all, and whenever we phoned or emailed to ask what was causing the delays (we spent over 15 weeks in conveyancing for no reason at all) they made us feel like we were bothering them unnecessarily, and basically told us to stop contacting them. Although friendly initially, for the majority of our interactions after our offer was accepted they were rude and even sometimes aggressive. I realise everyone's experience will be different and though I would never normally leave reviews for poor service I feel obliged to try and warn any potential buyers (or sellers) out there to avoid dealing with these malicious cowboys at all costs. This industry is in desperate need of greater regulation.

Poor communications led to us withdrawing from a sale. After weeks of not being communicated with regarding what the true picture with the buyer was we pulled out from the sale. We accepted an offer on the premise that the buyer was due to exchange two days later. This never happened but we were not informed of this until eight weeks down the line. Then we were strung along with false dates. A complete waste of the best months for selling a house. I cannot recommend Central for selling a house based on our experience.
