GoogleWe feel so fortunate to have sold our house through Central. From James’ first visit through Mikhael and Katie’s advice and support with the sale, Central’s service has been exceptional. Having lived in properties in Hackney and Walthamstow for around 30 years, we can honestly say that the service we received from Central has surpassed that of any other estate agent we have previously used locally. The team has an authentic knowledge of and genuine passion for the local area, and care about their clients, being proactive without being pushy and always responding promptly to queries. The team made the process as stress free as a big house move can be! We wholeheartedly recommend Central to anyone selling a property in the Walthamstow area.

GoogleDuring our lengthy house hunt Manaan was genuinely the only one amongst one too many agencies who was the most humane, reached out every so often to see if we're still looking, sought feedback after every viewing and was generally there to listen. The only one. Totally recommend him.

GoogleI would NOT recommend Central Estates to anyone. The agency made us feel rushed to move in without parts of the house maintenance being completed. We’ve had to chase the agency/landlord for a number of things including something as basic as a front door number which we in the end ended up buying and placing on the door ourselves. We’ve constantly had to chase for works to be completed with the agency property manager but not getting back to us unless we chased things. We’ve had builders coming in regularly at the beginning which could have been avoided during a pandemic. We were informed by the agency that only 1 contractor would come to get a quote for paint work which ended up being 2 builders attending without our notice. We left the property with paint works still not being completed which was way overdue. My advise to anyone renting from the agency is to make sure the property is of a good completed standard and make sure you are not rushed to move in. Furthermore, staff need to work on their phone mannerism. After moving, a member of staff suggested I send an item from kent to London via Uber to the agency, an item we sourced ourselves which did not come with the property. Absolutely ridiculous. Once your money is taken, unfortunately many agencies and landlord don’t care about dealing with tenants and that is exactly the experience we had. Dealing with Central Estates has not been as smooth as we would expect.NegativeProfessionalism
Dear Cambo dia, thank you for getting in touch with me regarding your review. As I mentioned to you by email it is up to the landlord to submit to us the reductions to be made to the deposit protection scheme who is independent and will mediate the claim for repairs or damages. The property was fully refurbished at the start of the tenancy, however damp works needed to be completed following you moving in, which it was done quickly, I do agree the paint works has taken too long. Contractors seem to be so busy during the pandemic. I wish you the very best in the future. Kind Regards Neil

GoogleI’ve been in London for many years, renting from different agencies and private landlords and by far this is the worst one. I’ve been discriminated, been rushed to move in a house with work in progress, been having people in and out working throughout the pandemic like there’s nothing going on out there. They were literally sending someone every other day at one point. One day we had 3 different people coming just to decide which one is cheaper for that specific job. Been left with two unfinished walls for months, they just decided to paint and complete the work after I left. Now I’m dealing with deposit issues, with a landlord that clearly doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing, charging for cleaning when the checkout report clearly says the property was left in a good overall order and for furniture removal, old items we found in the house that I clearly asked the agent to remove when I moved in, with the simple answer: “mate you should’ve asked me before you moved”, of course that’s the answer I’m getting after I paid and signed the contract. Just because I am a foreigner doesn’t mean I’m stupid and I’m gonna accept the way these agents and landlord treated me, is out of order.

GoogleMoved into a property about a month ago and have since found the tenant care to be superb - we've had some sticky problems with our new neighbours but Martyne H has supported us the entire time which has been incredible and we feel well looked after. Any issues we've had have been dealt with quickly - unlike our previous letting agents. No complaints here!
