We have used Forest Hall branch for the last 10 years to let our property in Killingworth, unlike other estate agents they have always managed to let our flat really quickly and we have numerous viewings which they have managed for us. Joanne in particular has an excellent manner and s very efficient and nothing is a bother. I would 100% recommend Joanne and the Forest Hall branch and look forward to using them again in the future.

The house was sold promptly and advertised in a professional way. The post sales support was very good. Thanks to Wendy Burbridge for all her support there in expediting things. Compared to the sellers agent "a certain colourful stone online company", they were head and shoulders better. Fully reccomend using Pattinsons!!

She gave me the information I needed and was very prompt with her replies. Unfortunately I didn't take the purchase further, but I would recommend Louise as she is knowledgeable and patient. Forest hall branch were excellent at every point, their knowledge was far superior to both seller and the buyers solicitors! The solicitors were utter dog shi@te, avoid Bindmans from whickham and worse again Kidd and spoor from Whitley bay, especially Kidd and spoor, that Caroline blenkinsop couldn’t read the daily star let alone a legal document! I wouldn’t ask her to wrap the foil on a cream egg!!

We bought a leasehold flat from Keith Pattinson Limited and were told that all service charge and ground rent accounts were paid up to date before agreeing to purchase under an ‘auction’ type contract.Important to note that Keith Pattinson Limited charge £5,000 plus vat when the vendor had elected a ‘no fee’ option!Compared to other auctioneers / estate agents this is a lot of money!The day we were due to complete we found out that there were significant arrears on the service charge account, going back nearly 2 years!We were advised to not complete because if this had caused the freehold owner to take repossession proceedings we would be buying ultimately nothing!!We explained this to Keith Pattinson Limited.What proceeded was a nightmare! We were served with a notice and daily interest charges and we had to jump through a lot of hoops with the freehold owner to understand the present position.Keith Pattinson Limited did absolutely nothing to help us, aside from tell us that we were bound to complete under the contract we had signed and that we were liable for any arrears! They basically told us to stop contacting them!! A complete contradiction to our correspondence prior to and during the sale process.Things happen when buying and selling but what you look for in a reliable service provider is a bit of support. Sadly we didn’t get any and despite completing on the sale, it cost us nearly £1000 in extra fees.When things run smoothly I have no doubt Keith Pattinson Limited are really good to deal with and can’t do enough to help, however if there are issues which may be a little bit complex or difficult, they don’t, and there are other agents out there (for example Pugh auctions) who go the extra mile!

I listed my home with this company and the customer service was terrible. They did not explain the process, they did not keep me informed and when I called them to find out what was happening with the sale of my home I come to find out that the person who was assigned to my home was on annual leave for two weeks and nobody would be dealing with enquiriesEnquiries have been made about my property and the follow up was poor. They sent an email and failed to follow up with the buyers. I requested that following the poor service which I received for my property to be removed they said that I would have to wait an additional month or pay 1000 plus vat to have it removed. Given that one person is on annual leave that means for the remaining 5 weeks they will do nothing with the property. What a waste of time and effort. I wouldn’t trust them with my home ever again.

Pattinson assisted with finding a tenant. Lengthy process although much to do with pandemic. Overall good service. I also sold same property via Pattinson auction. Valuation was higher than what bidders were offering for good number of months each time trying to persuade me to accept the low offer. Finally I was lucky someone bought it at much closer minimum price we had set. I had no hasstles otherwise.

I called and was told that the booking was entered onto their system incorrectly by a new staff member. Clearly a training and management issue. Not my problem and they are not getting my business. Laughable service.

I dealt with Terri at their Blyth Office for my house sale. Excellent service from her and her colleagues. Went the 'extra mile' on a few occasions. Would not hesitate to recommend to others. Used their recommended/'in-house' Solicitors and they were good too. In view of my ill-health I was very grateful to be able to hand things over to the professionals and let them get on with their job without undue chasing or monitoring etc.

In May 2021, I embarked on what seemed to be a straightforward journey of purchasing a property through Pattinson at auction. However, this process quickly devolved into a 3-year legal battle that brought significant financial strain and immense personal stress to my family and me.Pattinson marketed the property as an auction sale with an undisclosed reserve price, only to later sell it to me below this threshold - and the courts later confirming they had no express authority to do so. Despite my commitment to the purchase, including paying a substantial deposit and Reservation Fee, Pattinson failed to complete the sale, and I did not receive a refund until about 2.5 years later after several repeated requests.Throughout this ordeal, Pattinson's representatives, specifically Bobby Myers and Vinny Dadhria, lacked clear, transparent and honest communication. In my opinion, this suggested to me that there was miscommunication at best and/or dishonesty at worst. My own experience, along with questionable practices found in online reviews, raises serious concerns about their business operations.The escalating damages and legal costs forced me to sell my previous home, leaving my family dependent on the support of relatives to avoid homelessness. Additionally, with a significant portion of our funds withheld and rising mortgage rates, our ability to purchase another home was severely diminished, delaying our plans to grow our family.After three years, we accepted a settlement offer from all three parties involved to conclude the litigation, but the loss of time, energy, and the intense stress we endured means that no settlement could ever fully compensate us.Although Pattinson were not entirely responsible for what had occurred, I urge anyone considering Pattinson to exercise extreme caution. If my experience is any indication, the process is fraught with challenges that should be avoided at all costs. If you do proceed, document every step meticulously, including recording all communications, and ensure you have sufficient funds in case legal action becomes necessary.Update: I have been asked to remove my review entirely, or else Pattinson "will have no hesitation in issuing proceedings without further reference". Apparently, my attempt to leave an honest review of my personal experience with Pattinson caused them to become protective of their reputation and have warned me of the potential for further litigation. Therefore, I am updating my review to clarify (1) there were two further parties to the litigation and the settlement was made by all three parties, and (2) Pattinson were not entirely responsible for what occurred.

Anyone looking to buy or rent with Pattinson Estate Agents Pattinson Estate Agents, Bedlington Branch avoid them at all costs.I rented a flat for 6 months and advised them numerous times during the tenancy that there was an issue with damp and mould. this damp was caused by a hole in the wall that Pattinsons now claim I'm liable for, quote "the damp was caused by a bed being against a wall, not allowing proper ventilation". Nothing to do with a hole in the wall, allowing water to seep through. They have since painted over the mould, more than likely not resolved the damp issue and the next tenant will have the same issue. The flat is relisted to rent again but still hold my deposit. Absolutely awful company to deal.**updated to the response from Pattinson** You sent out a for a report which did state lack of ventilation on the property and that you admitted was your fault and not mine. The report did not make any mention of the penetrive damp we reported and confirmed. Would also refuse joint visit with my insurers to agree liability. I look forward to the conclusion of the TDS and trading standard review.
Dear MattThank you for your comments. We had a professional damp proofer out to the property who confirms it was condensation and black spot mould (not external water ingress or a leak) affecting the property. This is caused by lack of adequate heating and ventilation. As such this is the tenant's responsibility to address. I understand the matter has now been referred to the TDS who will adjudicate over how the damage deposit is to be dispersed.
