I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

Lisa Knight, Head of Sales in the Beckenham branch posted a letter to me dated the 17th February. It said, “If you would like to arrange a no-obligation market appraisal, please do not hesitate to get in touch..” I rang the office and made an appointment for the 7th of March. I was clear that I was not putting the house on the market right now.

If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative.Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

GoogleWe sold our flat in the second week of October with John D Wood and the whole transaction was fantastic. We honestly couldn't have had better estate agents. This was our second time of listing the flat as we had tried before with another agent the previous year and oh my word the service with John D Wood was so so much better. Think premier league versus non-league! We started the process of listing the flat as soon as the first lockdown lifted and from the off despite all things Covid and the new rules etc Simon from John D Wood was understanding, knowledgeable and put us at ease with his style and approach. Simon, Zoe and the rest of the John D Wood team continually found good quality purchasers to come and view the flat. In addition they were always happy to discuss our listing, the staging of the flat and the market in general as well as anything else relating to the sale. Working with Simon and latterly Zoe when she joined the St Margarets team was very easy. They brought a reassuring and professional service to every interaction with them. and it made the whole selling with an agent part of the transaction very very easy.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

RUN AWAY FROM THEM!I have lived in many flats in London and never have I experienced such a terrible process. First of all, we wrote down a formal offer with 1 only requirement. After our offer was accepted and we payed one week worth of rent to secure the place, they tell us that specific requirement cannot be met. They took almost 3 weeks to make the landlord sign our contract, and it was voided TWICE so we had to re-sign the contract 3 times in total as they kept adding clauses to it. During the move in, we realise the flat had not been cleaned (and the contract stated everything had to be professionally cleaned, even curtains and sofas.....) but the flat was in an appalling state really. We asked for it to be cleaned again and we are still waiting..... Not to say that we are still waiting for the landlord to pay the inventory. The people in this agency are very rude and will treat you bad. One advice, never use this agency!!!

Sardar swiftly arranged a viewing for me and he and Camilla were fantastic pushing things through so I could have a move in date within a week. As a tenant who has had John D Wood as my lettings management for the last 6 years I can say that they are absolutely awful. They don't reply to emails, don't take responsibility, don't put out of office emails on so you can't get anything urgent done. I would never use them.
