My experience with Wood & Pilcher was very disappointing due to extremely poor communication. We submitted an offer on a property we were looking to rent and did not receive any response confirming whether it had been accepted or declined. I followed up several times, yet none of my emails were acknowledged. Both Zach and Fiona were unprofessional in their handling of our enquiry. The complete lack of response and basic communication was unacceptable. I would not recommend this agency.

From the moment I reached out regarding a rental property, it cannot of gone any smoother! We explained our circumstances to W&P, the listened and managed to get us a viewing booked the same day for the apartment! Dean showed us around the viewing and has guided us through the referencing, keeping us updated through the process and all the way through to the acceptance! Very grateful for the team and the level of service they have provided, cannot fault them and would highly recommend! All the way through the tenancy they were on hand to support and a huge shout out to Lucy, Kate and Olivia for going above and beyond always!

I can't speak highly enough of the Tunbridge Wells Wood & Pilcher team. I have recently completed the most protracted of moves - 28 months in total - and the professionalism and support I received was second to none. Even when I hit meltdown stage (on more than one occasion, I must add!), they showed such care and consideration, and showered me with the best advice. I must be clear that absolutely none of the delay was due to them; they were, in fact, efficiency personified. Not only did they communicate brilliantly with me, but as my onward purchase was a private one and my friends didn't, therefore, have an agent, they also saw to it that they were looped in on everything. Special mention to Lynn and Mark, but - as you can imagine - over that period of time I think I spoke with everyone in the office, all of whom are marvellous human beings. I am never going to move again (never!), but if I did I would only sell through Wood & Pilcher. To be honest, I think I'd probably only buy through them, too!

Shocking!! They advertised a property to rent on Monday. I jumped straight on the phone. Spoke to Zak. He told me he would get a viewing the following Saturday. Nothing. I called the following day, he was off. The lady I spoke too said she would find out and get back to me. Nothing. I rang today and was told it had gone!!! How could it go if I couldn't get a viewing until Saturday!! No comms, no customer service, no potential tenant care or management. Stay away!!

I have only ever dealt with Kate Tero at Wood & Pilcher Tunbridge Wells Branch but she is absolutely fantastic. If her colleagues provide even a fraction of the service Kate provides, I'd recommend Wood & Pilcher to anyone. She goes above and beyond, is super efficient and very responsive which is exactly what you need. She is also incredibly genuine, personable and lovely which makes the whole process more enjoyable - I wouldn't want to deal with anyone else now! 5*

Very disappointing experience with W&P. The property was left cold and had mould issues which we reported multiple times, but our concerns were largely ignored. This was especially worrying as we had young children living in the house. Before moving out we paid for a professional clean and carpet cleaning and provided the invoices as proof. Despite this, they still charged us additional cleaning fees from our deposit, which felt completely unfair. Also charged me unfairly for some pen marks on wall. Overall it felt like all they cared about was taking money from tenants rather than addressing genuine issues or treating people fairly. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before renting through them. I’d give them 0 stars

Our rental property has been left in a dangerous condition. The property is managed by the Tunbridge Wells office. We reported a leak to the toilet 7 and a half weeks ago, the flooring was damaged and was dangerous to walk on as the flooring underneath had become loose. Yesterday we had contractors attend and began to fix the flooring, half way through the work, the landlady contacted them and told them to stop all work immediately. The result is that we have no flooring in the bathroom apart from a small walkway leading to the sink, either side there is a 1 and a half foot drop. The contractors were upset as they did not want to leave the property in such condition but we're told that they wouldn't be paid for the work if they continued. We have children in the property who are unable to use the bathroom and we have had to barricade the door in case they forget in the night and fall through the floor. I wish I could share the photo, it is terrible. The landlord and estate agents are more than happy to take almost 2k per month than to ensure the property is suitable to be lived in. The photo below is how it has been left, no work is booked in, there are no plans to fix this work. If you are looking to rent a property from this estate agents, please take this into account, especially if you have young children. *Update The estate agents have now arranged for work to be carried out to repair the flooring. This issue was raised 7 and a half weeks ago and tomorrow a temporary floor is due to be put in place. It is not convenient to ourselves today as we are visiting our family member who suffered a stroke recently and delayed visiting yesterday for the 'Work' to be completed. It was not completed yesterday as the landlady spoke with the contractor who was told to stop all work immediately. At the time of writing this review initially, it was before repairs had been agreed. Since then Rosie has worked extremely hard help resolve this situation for us, therefore I have amended this review to 3*. It is important to ensure that landlords are made accountable to ensure the property is in a safe condition to let. Previously we had flooring collapse in the bedroom and waited weeks for repair, the advice we received was to sleep in another bedroom. Repairs should be made in a timely manner, especially when entire rooms become dangerous to live in. But overall this hasn't been a pleasant experience and as a representation of the landlord we are not impressed and happy with the situation since we moved into the property. As an 'Unwarranted review' I ask if the writer of that would be happy if their son or daughter was to experience and be left in a situation like we have, with at the time of writing the review, a dangerous bathroom with three young children.

I have viewed multiple flats and houses over the years and Alfie was the first estate agent to come armed with information that was extremely useful and informative both about the property and the location. So far, other estate agents haven’t always known vital information such as, how old and where the boiler is, is the loft boarded, whether certain changes can be made etc. all questions that as a purchaser you want to know. It was obvious that he had taken the time to research the property, get all of the background information in advance from the freeholder, and was able to answer all of my questions on the day. Alfie was professional, friendly, well prepared and helpful throughout. It has been extremely refreshing to have an estate agent who is clearly very good at his job. Thank you!

There are many Estate Agents in Tun Wells, we picked three but Wood & Pilcher clinched it with a narrow margin. However, their level of professionalism, courtesy and friendliness is unmatched. Ultimately tho we needed a sale and they delivered that three times! twice buyers pulled out for reasons outside of Wood & Pilcher's control, interest rate hikes etc. Once we had secured the sale, we offered on four houses before securing the right one, W&P reassured our buyers, never pressurising but supporting us. The best agency we have ever experienced, the whole team outstanding.

I recently bought a flat via the estate agents Wood & Pilcher, Tunbridge Wells branch. The level of assistance offered during the entire process - from initial viewing to eventually buying - was most impressive. I very much appreciated the patient and professional responses to my many queries; and the friendly advice, support and reassurance offered along the way. When visiting the branch in person, I always sensed a cohesive and positive team atmosphere and a welcoming ethos. I had particular dealings with Amanda and Alfie initially, and increasingly with Lynn as the sale progressed (who went above and beyond to resolve issues, communicate updates and reassure me when necessary). Overall, I would heartily and unreservedly recommend this company and their highly knowledgeable and motivated team.

Although I was purchasing the property, so therefore Wood & Pilcher were acting for the vendors and in their interests, I found all staff went out of their way to be helpful, and the communication was excellent. From arranging an early viewing to suit me, as I was moving into the area, to chasing the other agents and solicitors in the chain to keep things moving and holding them together, their handling was exemplary. This is my ninth move. It was far and away the most stressful, but I would say that Wood and Pilcher are the best agents I have ever dealt with, both as a seller and a buyer. When I tried to change the time of the viewing, Dan said I wasn’t able to, which was absolutely fine but he kept going on saying how busy they are, there are only a few estate agents and they can’t work around my schedule.. AFTER I said it was fine. Once I viewed the property, Mark sent me a follow-up e-mail for my feedback. I missed his call so I called back but no answer.
