Freeman Foreman have been amazing start to finish. The marketing was brilliant and they sold our home very quickly. Hector did a lot of our viewings, he was highly professional, gave us really helpful feedback and updates throughout. Ebony managed a lot of the final stages to get the sale over the line. She was extremely helpful and personable. Ebony took away a lot of the stress and kept the sale moving well ahead of the stamp duty changes which was much appreciated. I would highly recommended Freeman Foreman and would not hesitate to use them in our next sale.

Freeman Forman Lettings in Eastbourne…

Freeman Forman Lettings in Eastbourne were happy to take the 10% management fees for 20 years when we let our property out through them, but when our tenant decided not to pay the rent anymore they were suddenly very unhelpful, they knew this was crippling us as the interest on the mortgage had shot up and with no rent coming in we were struggling. They did not answer emails we sent to them and rarely answer the phone choosing to decide whether to return calls based on the messages left. I had to talk Sam through the online form to get the Universal Credit paid direct, I can’t believe they didn’t know how to do that and then their account dept refused to pay the rent to us until their agent called the Universal Credit team each month to get a reference number to match to the payment, they didn’t want to do that because Universal Credit are difficult to get through to, it was when I took over that job that I realised the reference number was the same every month, but Freeman Forman staff hadn’t realised that. When our tenant finally left we asked the agent how we went about getting the deposit, they charged us £180 to book a ‘walk through’ with an agent who told us on the day of the walk through that he only charges £50 so despite them knowing we were financially in difficulty they stiffed us for £130. We have 4 rentable properties and I will never use them again.

This is the 2nd time I bought a property through Freeman Forman and thoroughly recommend them . I found Helen and the team to be friendly at all times. They were always happy to accommodate visits to the property often at short notice and answered all queries in a quick time frame . Pressure was applied to both parties when required with good communication to all involved in a calm and friendly manner. I also used the solicitor services through Countrywide and thought they were excellent enabling a good communication structure between all involved . All in all very happy with the service given to what is a stressful event but which thankfully had a positive outcome . Thanks to the whole team.

They offered an open house day which gained a lot of interest for our house and subsequently resulted in an offer that we were extremely pleased with! My partner and I recently viewed a rental property in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. Stephen was showing us the property and he is the BEST. I met with him a few days prior and he took all my details and immediately found us a property that fit our requirements. He answered all our questions, was very thorough, and let us have as much time as we needed inside the property. Tactical bullying border lining illegal & corrupt liars

Claire and Rebecca what a tag team (Criminal really) Prior to my offer being accepted on a property on Heathfield Road i was basically forced by Claire (Who was dealing with the purchase) into speaking with Rebecca (Their Own Mortgage Broker) I had my own broker already and advised that i could send my mortgage in principle agreement across, however i was told by Claire that the seller would only consider my offer if i was approved by their own broker first, as this would help strengthen my offer, so I spoke to Rebecca. Received a call from Claire advising that the seller had accepted my offer and congratulated me and requested my documents which I uploaded on to two portals. I also received a call from Rebecca congratulating me. All was going well, my property so I thought, until I advised that I had chosen to use my own broker. The next day i received a call from Freeman Forman (Countrywide) office, advising that the seller has now accepted another offer and whole heartedly decided to go with the buyer and that an increased offer from myself is not an option. I was originally told the other offer was not proceedable and the seller preferred my position which is why they accepted my offer and put Sold STC on Rightmove at Midnight on the 24.05.23 following my offer being accepted. Basically, because I didn't use the Freeman Forman (Countrywide) internal broker the seller promptly changed their mind and accepted another offer from someone who was not proceedable. This is poor practice, disgusting, unprofessional and embarrassing behaviour, all because i used my own broker. I hope the seller did get more money but in truth they probably got told that i pulled out of the purchase. Contacted the seller and as thought they were unaware that i was told that i couldn't increase my offer. Oh dear. so if you dont use a Freeman Forman (Countrywide) Broker the deal doesn't happen. They also requested money upfront for info. I await an email response but won't hold my breath, i have to do this before reporting these companies to The Property Ombudsman. Manager Greg is also a liar just so that people are aware, trying to cover up for his team and blatantly lying. So unprofessional.

Hawkhurst Freeman Forman

From the very start, this estate agent overpromised and underdelivered. In 9 weeks, we have had just one viewing, and even that seemed questionable. It only happened after we expressed how unhappy we were with the lack of progress, and the conversation ended with: “Give us the share as we have so much interest.” We agreed, yet no interest at all followed. The manager, Charlie, made numerous promises of contacts with “potential interest” and used misleading sales tactics to get us on their books. We were persuaded to give them sole selling rights and even to hand over the shared ownership element of our home, supposedly because they already had buyers lined up, which, in reality, they did not. They pressured us into signing manipulative 16-week sole agency contracts, knowing they had no genuine options to sell. If there had been any real intention to sell, such lengthy contracts would not be necessary. This feels designed purely to advertise their company via our property and pad out their portfolio, rather than genuinely work to sell our home. We do not believe the staff in the Hawkhurst branch have enough experience in the industry, and they appear poorly equipped to deliver a professional service. We explained to Charlie the importance of honesty and the urgency of our sale. More promises followed, but no action. In the first week, one representative even laughed about another property agent taking six weeks to get us a viewing, saying they would defiantly get us more than 1 viewing, and sadly, they did not .. with no viewings for much longer. Overall, the experience with the Hawkhurst branch has been frustrating, misleading, and unprofessional. We feel our time has been wasted and our trust abused. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this agency.

Completely underwhelmed by the performance of Freeman Forman Tunbridge Wells in marketing our apartment for sale. In almost five months, they secured just three viewings. Very little in the way of feedback apart from urging us to drop the price (despite us having marketed at the price they suggested.) Once we realised they were not engaged in finding a buyer for us, we asked them to release us from our contract so that we could find another agent - despite their lacklustre performance they insisted on adhering to the one month notice period (and secured zero viewings during this time).

I went to Tunbridgewells freeman foreman, in January 2022 , Because I knew and trusted there previous visit to my renovation site at 27 and 27 A tedder road tn4 9es, The manager for sales said we will ve a bidding war for your property mr powell , so I carried on waiting for the bidding war but it never happened then the first buyer pulled out, I agreed to leave the property s on with freeman foreman, then 5 months later after loads of up grade to please the buyers I went to have a chat that was last October 2023 the property had Been on there books for over well over 17 months then on my visit to discuss the sake options one one of the team said to me oh the buyers buyer can not ger a mortgage I said I will ve my keys please and I walked out because I only had another 6 weeks before I had to pay back my bridging loan they the team at foreman freeman knew this,.so I then decided on plan be to save my property from being reprocessed by the courts . I rented it out to save my hard work over 20 yrs of it . So I'm afraid I will never use tfreeman foreman again because I felt there was a load of lied told to me to keep my property on their books so from me one star I would use another estate agent if I was you . Freeman Forman in Uckfield helped me move into my new apartment. Thank you to Anna, Jack & Janice for showing me moving house doesnt have to be stressful! I went from an aweful experience from one of their competitors to dealing with the a stress free team that always kept to their word. From the beginning of collecting my keys to the handing of them over they helped with every situation, always got back in a timely manner, and are the kindest people to deal with for moving house. The landlord was the sweetest lady, leaving me cleaning products and extra bits ready for my tenancy. They were also very understanding when I advised I would have to end my contract due to the cost of living crisis. I will definately be returning for help with hopping on the mortgage ladder. Highly recommend these guys.

What ever you do - do not got to Rebecca the mortgage advisor!! We went to her last year to renew our mortgage. She kept pushing for us to pay £600 for this scheme where we don’t pay any fees for future mortgages. We paid. A week later she’s telling us she can’t get us a mortgage! She would ignore all our calls and emails. So we decided to go independently and got our mortgage straight away! We continued to contact her for our £600 back as we received NO SERVICE from her to which she kept ignoring us! My partner has been going backwards and forwards with someone her office for around a year now ,who also agreed this was wrong, has now told us they’re not giving us our money back! Might I add we are two grieving parents that had not long lost our child at that time and she knew and met them the last time we’d met her. Praying on the vulnerable and conning them out of their hard earned money! Absolutely disgusting you should be ashamed!

Fantastic service from start to finish. Stuart Smith was just amazing and we couldn’t have done it without him. I was helping my elderly parents sell their home from 500 miles away to move up with us. Stewart’s help was invaluable. We requested viewings by open day and it was done. Stuart stayed all day and was such a support to my elderly and slightly confused parents. Everything was explained to them fully. Stuart was literally on hand from marketing to completion. He drove miles out of his way on many occasions to assist with paperwork.. Thank you to the whole Freeman and Foreman team for your professionalism and for all the little extras you did for us.
