One Viewing in Four Months...Disappointing

I appreciate that my Residential Park Home is not a conventional sales prospect for an estate agent, albeit, that it is in an exceptional condition. However, following my meeting with Callum, (Truro branch) in February, I felt confident in Stratton Creber's ability to find me a buyer, or at least to generate a modicum of interest in my property. To say that I am disappointed in their lacklustre performance is a massive understatement. I had ONE viewing in four months. Two further viewings were scheduled. In both instances, these were 'no shows' and I received no subsequent feedback from the agent. Lessons learned: Do not go with an agent unless they have a demonstrative track record is selling YOUR type of property. Do not put your trust in a sole agent.

I recently completed the sale of my property at Bodmin through Stratton Creber and felt compelled to leave an honest account of my experience. The sale process was marred by several significant issues that required me to make a formal complaint. Communication was consistently poor. I repeatedly had to chase the branch for basic updates. Administration was also below standard. The Memorandum of Sale contained errors after the offer was accepted, and again I had to chase to get these corrected. Basic paperwork should be completed accurately first time. Recommended solicitors were another disappointment. The branch recommended solicitors to use for the conveyancing process, however I found them extremely difficult to get hold of throughout the transaction. Most seriously, I discovered that my house key had been left under the doormat between viewings, a clear security breach that put my property and belongings at risk. The initial response to my concerns about this was dismissive and inadequate. I did escalate to a formal complaint, which was handled at group level by the Connells complaints team. The response acknowledged some shortcomings and confirmed the member of staff responsible for the key incident has since left the business. The sale did ultimately complete, and to be fair there were staff members who tried to help. However, the overall level of service fell well short of what you would expect when entrusting an agent with the sale of your home. If you choose to use this branch, I would strongly recommend keeping detailed records of all communications, choosing your own solicitors independently, and being prepared to chase regularly for updates

After a very slow start with another estate agent, I swapped the sale of my late mum's house to Stratton Creber and I have to say that Stefan, Callum and the team have been brilliant. They really pushed the sale online and on the high street and it was a really short period before a buyer was found. They have stayed in complete contact all the way through the process, and have answered any queries I've had immediately. I highly recommend Stratton Creber - a personable service, with all aspects of the sale explained fully. Stef said he'd sell it for me within weeks and he (and Callum) did!

We recently bought our first home via Stratton Creber - we had a few communication bumps initially, but Callum was a massive clog in our purchase. There were lots of little bumps in the road and Callum was extremely helpful at chasing and getting both solicitors to talk to eachother and keep the sale moving. Callum probably dealt with an email or phonecall from me at least twice a week for 6 months. We are very grateful for all his help in helping us get the keys to our first home. Thank you!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards Darly Jones and the rest of the Team at Stratton Creber whose professionalism went beyond my expectation to help me secure my first home, effectively and efficiently. After viewing the property, the experience was positive but as a first-time buyer I had no idea of what to do despite reading a lot about buying a house. As a first-time buyer I was not fully aware of the steps to follow in order to secure the property, I was completely out of depth however, Darly and the team at Stratton and Creber took their time to provide me with so much information and really engaged with me and explained the steps and what needs to be done in order to secure the property. After making an offer to a property, Dary and the team where very supportive and introduced me to their in-house solicitors who where very helpful but what stood out to me was despite engaging with the solicitors, the support and advise from Darly and the team did not stop there. I received regular calls from the team who checked on how I was doing and further offered advice and support in order to secure the property in a timely manner as they were aware that I would be starting a new job and had to move in a few weeks before my new role started. I was very pleased with the communication and the support that was provided throughout the entire process, and I did not feel stressed as I knew I had a great team who stick to their word and made sure everything was easy.

We have used Stratton Creber for many years as we used to run a letting agency and can confirm all the landlords were very pleased with their advice and services, including viewings with tenants in situ. Recently, Stefan was very helpful to us personally and gave us a valuation and some sounds advice regarding sales within the area. We chose not to sell the property but would not hesitate to use both Stefan and Daryl at Stratton Creber should our circumstances change in the future. We found them to be consistently friendly, polite and professional and I know they have handled sales of properties within the same cul-de-sac as our property recently valued and achieved sales very quickly.

Picking an Estate Agent to trust them to sell your home can be daunting. From our initial meeting with Karen, we were put at ease. Subsequent follow ups with Stefan, Daryl and Dylan were welcoming and unpressured. The internal communication, determination and thoroughness throughout was refreshing. Daryl and Stefan particularly went out of their way to keep us informed at every step, and the team positivity, professionalism and empathy for our situation was greatly appreciated. I'd like to express my gratitude towards Daryl for his kindness and professionalism. My partner and I viewed a house a couple of weeks ago, and it was the most positive experience as Daryl provided us with so much information and really engaged with us. Previous agents from different companies really rushed the process and barely engaged. Even though the property we viewed wasn't for us, Daryl had made us feel excited for our future. The team at Stratton Creber, Truro have been amazing in selling my Truro property. Right from the word go, they pulled out all of the stops to provide a speedy, thorough and professional service. Stefan ensured that the marketing was started at the earliest opportunity and Karen then took on the sales process from there, backed up by the rest of the team. A list of potential buyers was already to hand and a large number of viewings were arranged rapidly. Karen kept in close contact throughout the sales process. Our sale was a low value retirement home that was always going to be a difficult sell and at low fee, however Stefan and Karen kept on going, through the viewings, through the pandemic and then finally got the purchaser's solicitor to do their job. This review relates to the sale of a property which formed part of the Estate of my sister in law. We had three Estate Agents to View the property and Stefan was far and away the most professional and caring of the three so we decided to go with Stratton Creber. The overall prices was delayed by a number of factors but even though we were not Executors, Ben kept us up to date with progress every week and relays communications from the purchasers. Shame it all took so long but Stratton Creber were professional, helpful and very approachable throughout. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for good Estate Agent in Truro.
