We chose Carter Jonas to sell our North Oxford home because of the company's client profile and because we were so impressed with Julia Wilson when she visited to give us a valuation. Julia asked us a range of detailed questions about the property and, in subsequent discussions, it was evident that she knew precisely how to present it to the market in order for us to achieve the best possible price. From our first meeting through to exchange of contracts and completion, Julia worked tirelessly to ensure the process was as smooth as possible, despite the complications of the Covid lockdown. You take a leap of faith when you choose your estate agent, so it is particularly satisfying when your agent more than meets your high expectations.

I used a "partner" at Carter Jonas as a valuer for a statutory lease extension for a property that I own. The individual concerned wrote an initial valuation report in which I found (after spending ten minutes reading it) several mistakes. He was rather reticent to correct them, but did so after a bit of argument. I also had to argue with him in order to get him to lower the valuation estimate, which is clearly in the interest of the client in contracts such as this. During these discussions he said at one point "a few hundred pounds here or there doesn't make any difference." Well, maybe it doesn't matter to him because it's not his money, but it clearly matters to the client! I was not very pleased by his attitude overall, and his work (which is routine at best) was expensive, and careless. Would definitely not use Carter Jonas again.

Professional and nice to deal with

We selected Carter Jonas to act on an executors’ sale of a flat in Bishop Mansions because of their experience of handling transactions in this complex. We were not disappointed and very pleased with the service we received from Wayland Ward-Smith and Mandy Jacobs. They showed the flat to a number of potential buyers in a very short period of time and secured an offer at the asking price. The transaction was then delayed due to challenges in obtaining Probate but we received good advice on how to manage the delay and they also kept the intended purchaser advised so that they acquired the property when formalities had been completed

Marlborough Lettings are faultless

The lettings team at the Marlborough office can't be faulted. We were anxious to rent out our property for the first time but they did everything they could to help us through the process so it ran smoothly. They had the brochure made up swiftly and the house was circulated to their existing database and never even made it to market as they found us great tenants straight away. Carter Jonas now manage the property on our behalf and it's great to know it's in safe, trust worthy hands with the Marlborough team.

Professional service second to none

We used Carter Jonas's Fulham branch (Wayland Ward-Smith) to sell a much loved flat in January. We have used the branch on two previous occasions and again could not fault the service. We achieved almost 10% above asking price and were impressed with the professionalism with which the transaction was handled. The communication was clear and advice was offered where needed. We unreservedly recommend the branch and will use Wayland when we next come to buy or sell property in the area.

I would like to praise Ms Lajla Turner from the South Kensington office. She gave me great advice about the decor of the flat. I followed her advice and in less than two weeks she had found me a suitable tenant with almost the asking price. Ms Turner provided us with very reliable reference checks and the right tenant. She worked w/ends and even during her week's holiday and throughout was extremely constructive, courteous and helpful not only to myself but also to the tenant. Consummately Professional Newbury Team

We used the Carter Jonas Newbury team to sell our house recently, and in particular Ed Westmacott. Throughout, they have been incredibly professional and responsive. I would highly recommend them. Ed was very keen to help us achieve what we wanted. For example, he brought in a different photographer because we weren't happy with some of the shots from the first shoot. He chased gently when required, but was not 'in your face'. In return, he acted very quickly and gave sound advice when asked.While I had less contact with the other members of the team, when I left a message with someone in the Office, I knew it was going to be actioned quickly.I am pleased I asked Ed and Carter Jonas to act for us, and would highly recommend them to anyone trying to sell their house.

They are always on the ball and communicate really well between us and also the occupants of properties making it really easy for us to get the best out of a property. Very unprofessional

I admit we made a mistake of not reading any reviews of this agency beforehand, but having read them now, I’m glad everything ended exactly the way it has.We requested a viewing of a house in Cambridge just a couple of days ago and were told to wait for the video of the property. The video did arrive through whatsapp the following day, and we were pretty happy with everything, so we replied back to the agent saying we’d like to proceed and asked to clarify a few small details and if they maybe had a floor plan too. The agent read the message and left us at that without acknowledging our questions or our interest. Being ghosted by a property agent was definitely a first for us!She then sent a reply the following day, completely ignoring everything else, and just replied that they don’t have floor plans for their properties. Before replying to her, we checked the property’s website listing, and what do you know - it was now listed as Let Agreed.Extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour, and even if we saw other properties we liked at this agency, we surely wouldn’t use them now.

I think this has to the most judgemental company I have ever dealt with and I'm 54 years old. They wouldn't even accept 6 months rent up front on a property! If you don't fit into their pigeon hole requirements then you aint got no chance of renting a property.
