Everyone at John Lake's is extremely courteous and the service, whilst not the cheapest, is very professional. Paul deserves a special mention as he was always "there" for us, either in person or by phone. They had buyers for our home in less than a month, our neighbour's house was also sold rapidly after first failing to attract a buyer with a rival estate agent. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team aka John Lake Estate Agents!

Had some dealings with one of their guys who I won't name, I found that they say one thing to your face and other things to other people, we were in the process of purchasing a property that they were selling, we had the funds instructed solicitors however from their sides delays tried to say that it was us delaying things, They then contacted an Estate Agent of a property that we were selling, which was totally unrelated to the purchase and told them we were now in a chain, which we wasn't. We lost our sale partially to do with this, so therefore withdraw from there sale, I remember one conversation with the guy who I consider to be unprofessional, Well John Lake Estate Agents I told your guy flat I never forget and it will come back on you, You lost your client because of your actions with us and also got a negative feedback a couple of years later as I said at the time. Hard Luck, but I can see from other reviews that your not particularly nice or professional when talking to other people. ADDED AFTER NEIL FERNS RESPONSE. I don't go through stupid complaint processes that waste my time. If something is bad I say its bad for others to get an idea of your company. My review is honest and my firm opinion of the our dealings, The only possible slanderous comment is yours claiming that I am slanderous by my review. If you think my comment is therefore slanderous sue me. waste your money trying to only find you lose. I hope that you are smart enough to remove your comments as trust me there is only one loser and that is John Lake Estate Agents. I think a more appropriate response should have been we apologise for the way you feel. But it looks like you got to macho and got on your big horse which is totally wrong of you to do and no wonder it your getting bad reviews. As you are aware from this people can edit their reviews at any time, had you have said sorry I may have well given you a more improved review, however you failed again, Neil think back to all the dealings you have had and you will know what I am saying is completely justified. however you make bold untruthful comments and do this as if you are asking a question???? to try to make it look like comments are untrue or unjustified MY REVIEW 100% TRUE. Good luck. Giving your own company a 5 star review in a response goes to show what you are like? Why did you do that? Trying to get your review star level up?

I purchased a very nice apartment through John Lake, from start to finish I found them to be absolutely first class. Being relatively new to Torbay I found they had extensive knowledge and experience of the area, their service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble throughout the whole process. I learnt that the property I bought had previously been on sale for some time with another agent, yet having had the property for less than 2 weeks John Lake had already had one offer when I was looking at the property. They have vast experience of the local market, are excellent at valuing and marketing properties, I will certainly return to them when I plan to sell this apartment in the next few years. Highly recommended

I had a phone call from John Lake and he was extremely rude and unprofessional, in fact, I was both angry and upset when I got off the phone call to the point I used my own devices to trace who he was and leave a review. John called me for information I was more than happy to give but projected nothing but a bad attitude and tone of voice. I hope in the future you speak to people how you wish to be spoken to yourself. I have never been spoken to so appallingly. It was both undeserved and unneeded. I'd give 0 stars if I could.
