I had the pleasure and privilege of being helped and supported by Laura Stuart. The factors leading me to require the support of Miller were due to my relationship ending badly and Laura was very sympathetic to my situation. I also have ADHD and sometimes my lack of attention and patience can be difficult for others to deal with. But not Laura. She had lorry loads of empathy, patience, understanding and professionalism. She made a usually negative experience for me a very positive one. Because of that it's made the whole process a positive one for me. Thank you Laura. You helped restore my faith in myself and you're a breath of fresh air.

I have just sold my flat with millers which was on the market for 2 years with 3 other agents. 2 sales previous fell through which was when we thought we would try millers. Within less than a week we had a offer we were happy with. Cheryl was very helpful and profession throughout the whole process and even when we did come across a couple of issues she was very quick to sort these out. I would definitely recommend millers. 5 star service!

Emma the Excellent at Countrywide

My partner and I have spent the last year searching for our first house, over which time we have done countless viewings with various estate agents. Emma McLuckie at MillerCW was an absolute stand out. She not only managed to squeeze us into viewings for all the property we wanted to see, she also recommended some others. She was fun, honest, knowledgeable and friendly; Emma helped us find our dream home and negotiated on our behalf to get our offer accepted! We are using Gary Spratt and their in-house mortgage service at MillerCW, which has so far been excellent. Emma is in the process of guiding us through the buying process, she is easy to get on the phone and is going above and beyond in every regard. 5* Service.

St Austell branch is a complete joke

St Austell branch is a complete joke. Currently I am looking to sue for unnecessary harassment and trying to heavy handedly change the terms of tenancy agreement without either tenant (mine) or landlords written (or even verbal for that matter) agreement. The Lettings department is run by an intellectually challenged and somewhat ugly on the inside “leader”, they send threats of court action and emails designed to intimidate tenants in to complying with whatever arbitrary rules they decide to implement as and when they wish with no regard for actual contract / tenancy agreement law. And the unders just blindly follow instruction without questioning the orders making them look as uneducated as their line manager, exasperatingly embarrassing for a so called professional company. Lucky for me, I’m not easily bullied and I also know about contract law but for people less astute this would be an impossible situation to live with.

Placed my property for sale with MillerCountrywide Penzance back in April 2023 with an ‘Offers Over’ notice on the price, and a guarantee from the staff that any potentials will have been checked to ensure they had funds. First visitors said they did not have the budget, so do not know why they visited. Second made an offer below price, which I turned down as was told the price was based on offers over. Since then there has been 1 visit, over a week ago, I am still waiting after calling the agents 3 times for an update on how the visit went.

The initial meeting discussing mortgage options went well, but after learning of our income and budget and what could be lent, all interest in helping us dwindled. There was no enthusiasm or help in getting us a mortgage. My partners pregnancy was used against us as a reason that we may not be able to get a mortgage due to maternity pay. We were told we could only borrow a small amount from lenders and it had to be now as closer to the due date we would most likely be declined. We had a large deposit and yet we were not taken seriously. We were sent only one property to look at which was not even suitable to our needs. Emails went unanswered and we just got the feeling that we weren’t valued as potential customers, so we went elsewhere and secured a mortgage with no issue. Terrible service, would not recommend.

St Austell. Poor response times and lack of interest

Put our house on the market and initially were very happy with the service we received. Luke was very welcoming and professional and then he left the company. We weren’t informed if this and had no contact telling us who our new point of contact would be. After this it was a shambles. Emails and calls not returned. Got the impression that they weren’t really interested in our sale, quite a lazy approach. I don’t feel that we received a professional service compared to other estate agents we have used. We even considered pulling the sale and re advertising with a different estate agent. All sorted now but I personally wouldn’t deal with this company again in the future.

Would not recommend this company if…

Would not recommend this company if your life depended on it a long time ago when I was a single parent and a student they took six months rent off me upfront. What was intended on my part to be a long term Let, it was kind of my own naivety as when I viewed the house there was a for sale sign and the letting agent told me and my mum that for sale sign was for the next-door house as these were Terrace houses anyway I moved into this house and four months and I got a call to my personal number just some random people that was wanting to view the house for sale. That’s how I found out the house was for sale. Avoid I’m now in my council house and have been here a long time but avoid this agency. Gutted. I went from one cowboy independent landlord to this cowboy agency. Ps I should have wrote this review a long time ago with being single parent and disabilities as well as you know trying to function in my life makes it difficult but I have not forgot

On a recent property-finding trip to Torquay we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Sam from Miller estates. We were exposed to such an array of experiences dealing with mutliple companies during our two day hunt for a property, and by far Sam's professionlism was clear to see. He really understood our needs and was a great source of information on the area in general. Unfortunately this time around he didnt have the correct property on his books for us but we will 100 percent be contacting him again when our next property need arises. This was a few years back. Staff have lied and tried to make out that it was different story. Nice try but asked someone different doesn't exist. So they would try anything. Plus when I went in there one staff member had some real horrible attitude towards me. Called me a few names. Luckily I didn't stand for it. How on earth do they get this staff. I hope since Covid they bought in better staff.
