Their lettings team is useless and expensive

I can’t speak to the Freeman Forman sales team but my experience with their lettings team in Heathfield was terrible. I hired them to manage a property several hours away while my late husband was ill and I couldn’t manage or visit the property myself. They charged me an exorbitant amount for this service each month and I have nothing to show for it but a trashed house in need of thousands of pounds of repairs. They let to terrible tenants who ruined the house and garden, but even worse, Freeman Forman neglected to do an end of tenancy inventory so I couldn’t keep the tenant deposit to offset the cost of repairs. One of their letting agents even admitted to me that they dropped the ball. But of course Freeman Forman did nothing to make things right for me or take any financial responsibility for their mistakes and poor service. They are either incompetent or sleazy or both. Avoid Freeman Forman lettings, it’s an expensive rip off!

We cannot praise Freeman Foreman enough for the proactive quality of their service, customer care and efficiency. Communications with them have been friendly, efficient and always timely. As we have sold and bought through them in one move, we have amassed ample evidence of both sides of their business. Our house sat sadly on the market with another agent for 3 months with absolutely no obvious interest or viewings arranged. Within 8 hours of appointing Freeman Foreman we we delighted to have 2 viewings arranged, and a successful offer quickly followed. The purchase of our new home was made via their Tunbridge Wells branch and the relationship between both offices and ourselves has been seamless and coordinated. We thank the entire team at Freeman Forman for helping us through the process, and have no hesitation in recommending them. We worked on the sale of our home with Arnaud, Jess, Milly and Meg. It was a tough process all round given the market. When we finally found a buyer the process got really tough. It was a demanding and often unreasonable situation, however they maintained decorum professionalism and humour throughout. They were always "on it" depsite how tough it must have been for them with stamp duty changes, complex chains and so forth. We finally exchanged today and are looking forward to our next adventure. If we ever move again (which based on this experience is a dreadful thought) I would do it with the crew at Freeman Forman. They made the process bearble, managed our stress for us and were really good to work with all round.

Myself and my sister used Freeman Foreman in Tonbridge to sell our late mothers flat. It was a very distressing time for us and the team at Freeman foreman went above and beyond to take the pressure off. They found us a wonderful buyer, and when that sadly fell through due to no fault of theirs or anyone’s, they found a new buyer in a matter of days. Being part of a bigger group, (Countrywide), meant when we considered renting it out, they were able to put us in touch with their partner firm, and when it came to myself and my sister both signing paperwork and providing ID, it meant they were able to accommodate my sister visitIng a branch within the brand in London. They really did what was best for us, and made the selling process, that came with its speed bumps, as stress free as possible. Arnaud is professional, honest, and straight talking, and just the sort of person you want in your corner getting you the best deal. And Vicky handled our sale with such care, and as much determination to get the deal done as if it were her own. Of course all the obvious things, lovely photos and description, good well vetted prospective buyers, but as with all of these things, you want someone who you can feel genuinely has an interest, and doesn’t just see you as the money you can make for them. We were only selling a small 1 bed flat with Freeman foreman and they treated us and our property, with as much care and respect as if it were a palace. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and will absolutely be using them in the future when it comes to selling my own home.PositiveProfessionalism
