Thankyou to Paul and Eleanor at Square Room for the professional service we received whilst selling my late mother's house. Paul the owner valued the house realistically in comparison to others that had sold recently in the street. He gave us details of the packages we could pay for whilst selling the house and we elected to do the viewings ourselves. The photos and write up of the house were done within a few days and we were advised when the property would go live on Right Move etc. We were allocated Eleanor, a member of the team at Thornton who coordinated the viewings and collated the 3 offers, 2 of which were over asking price. Eleanor gave us weekly updates of progress and chased up the buyer and solicitor when appropriate. The sale was hassle free and well worth the small fee that we paid.

Hands down the best estate agent I've ever dealt with.....have viewed properties as a buyer and sold my house through them and in both instances they were personable, friendly, gave genuine advice and help and went out of their way to assist. When selling my property they kept in touch regularly, the people in the office were always really friendly and positive, keeping me updated on anything I needed to know or just ringing to check in. Will be my estate agent going forward without a doubt and recommend them to anyone I know! We have recently used Square Room to complete the sale of an elderly relatives property. From the initial meeting, arranging the photographs and going live took less than 72hours. You can imagine how delighted we were to secure a successful sale, in under 3 days. We chose the fully managed viewing package offered by Square Room and we would strongly recommend this level, it takes a huge burden off your shoulders. This service included regular updates on viewings which are sent directly to your phone, this was very efficient and we felt this was a great way to stay involved. In our view what made the team stand out was their regular communication with us during a very difficult time. Selling an elderly relatives property can be a very stressful time and the team should be be commended for their professionalism and sensitivity extended to us throughout the whole process. Houses are selling very quickly at the moment so the house sold itself, this being said they were very prompt coming for the initial sign up, photos and going live …. I think it was 3 days in total, they were absolutely brilliant, very professional, kind and friendly. Once the house was under offer they kept me updated on a regular basis. Estate agents that I have been with for previous properties haven’t been anywhere near as good. I would definitely recommend them, they really are the best….

This is the second time I have used Square Room and I quite simply wouldn’t use anyone else. They are very professional from start to finish from Paul the owner completing the valuations, to being allocated a member of the team to manage your sale through to completion. Even the automated texts for viewing and reminders is something other estate agents don’t have and is a great system. Excellent service from The Square Room from start to finish. They found us 2 buyers for our 4 bed detached house in a very short space of time and we got a great price for it. The first buyer decided to buy a new property, so no fault of theirs. They informed us immediately and thanks to the quickly arranged viewings, they found us another buyer within a couple of days. Competitively priced fees for a first class service, I have recommended to many already and cannot recommend them enough. I couldn't individually pick any member of staff out, as they are all a pleasure to speak to. Nothing is ever too much trouble and you are constantly kept updated. Contract was drawn up...

First to view property, liked and agreed on the asking price got solicitors to draw up contract after confirmation that the house was ours, next squareroom would not give us the other parties solicitors information, they phoned us back to say the house has sold at the same price to someone else ... We found out that they deferred our sale as we had sold ours privately and the other buyers where selling with square room, so they where getting two commissions instead of one.. Very deceitfull and underhand tactics.. Definitely would not recommend. We will definitely not use this company due to there underhand tactics, buying from them or selling, that statement alone is enough to deter warranted credibility.

Wasted 4 weeks of our time overvaluing…

Wasted 4 weeks of our time overvaluing our property and giving us false hope that they would "sell the house within a week". Had the cheek after our 4 week contract to say its not cost us any money. We have to pay the elec/gas water rates and insurance and mortgage while the property is vacant and this has put us back 4 weeks while we have the property re-valued. Also the viewings only take 15 mins and the people showing the viewings didn`t seem interested in getting the house sold.
