After looking to buying a house and start organising viewing, Connells are by far the worst estate agent in taunton to deal with. Constantly trying to upsell buyers their in house mortgage brokers, which they tried to hard sell on every interaction. Recently found out they’ve been investigated by panorama which did certainly not come as a shock.

Deciding to go with connells to sell our house was the best decision we made! The whole team throughout were so supportive, easy to communicate with and super attentive. Dominic was the main estate agent selling our house and from start to finish nothing was ever too much trouble. We had several issues as most people do, but he only ever had our best interests in mind and never pushed us to make any big decision or do anything that didn’t 100% suit us, even if that made the process slightly longer. We also used the solicitors connells recommended which I would definitely do again! Not only were they really helpful, having Dominic contacting them for us and getting constant updates or pushing them for answer when needed took all the stress away, from what usually is an extremely frustrating process! I’m sure a lot of questions I ask Dom were not in his job description but took it upon himself to always get us the answers we needed, even after the sale had gone through! Can’t recommend Dominic and the taunton team enough!

We contacted connells in person 22/12/23 to say we haven’t had a deposit back. They lied about emailing the landlord as the landlord confirmed he hadn’t received any emails. We explained we have no money for Christmas and a manager called mark assured us a same day payment would be raised today 23rd. They didn’t call back as promised. After calling several times they told us we won’t get the deposit till after Christmas. This has ruined our Xmas and they do not care about tenants. Avoid this agency at all costs. They don’t care about their tenants.

Our buyers were with Connell’s Taunton last year, ten months later we found out their buyer was pretending to be a first time buyer, but Connell’s were helping them to sell their house and kept it from everyone. So everything fell through when the buyer admitted this and said we couldn’t have a completion date agreed as he still had a house to sell! When I rang Connell’s I got spoken to like I was in the wrong and I shouldn’t have been upset with them for lying and putting us through stress. We lost everything and had to start again. Should not be okay to lie and ruin people’s lives. No excuse for it. Would not even give one star.

I have just rented a property with the help of Connells. Relocating from London to Somerset has hands down been the most stressful experience I’ve had to go through and my stress levels at times got the better of me! Ellie and Adam from the Lettings team had the patience of saints. They went above and beyond to help me, showed immense professionalism and are clearly both hard working individuals! Having picked up my keys today - and I’m still calling Adam & Ellie to ask stupid questions - I know they will be on the end of the phone to help talk me through things. As a tenant, I find that very reassuring! Forever grateful to you both for getting my new home over the line :)
