GoogleThe team at Bridgfords Stalybridge have been brilliant and their support has allowed us to enjoy the process of selling our house rather than finding it stressful. I wrote an email to one of their sales colleagues about a viewing who wouldn't open the door to me. The sales colleague never responded back to my email. Plus they've not bothered to notife me about a property I was interested in but is now sold!

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.

This team were very proactive and quick to contact their existing list of interested parties so that my fathers house sold even before going on the market! Just wanted to mention the first Class service received by Ellie in the Tynemouth office. She is more than helpful every time I speak to her. I am a Landlady and despite the extremely expensive charges Bridgefords have for every aspect of Letting, it is Ellie who is polite, extremely efficient, always pleasant and a delight to deal with. Service like this needs to be recognised ...Ellie should run the office as nothing is ever too much trouble. I was visiting recently from London and Ellie was off, sadly. Other staff were on the phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there! so rude considering the money I pay them. I am in the Property business myself, so know how people expect to be treated. Well done Ellie, you are an asset to Tynemouth!

We met Lee Johnson from Countrywide without any knowledge about house buying or what is needed to make it happen. He enabled us to create our credit profile as we had never had credit before and needed this to get a mortgage. He told us everything about getting the maximum we can afford from our salaries, making sure we had the best mortgage provider/rate and also ensuring that if anything bad was to happen, the house and our earnings would be covered and the house would be paid for! Lee I cannot thank you enough for enabling me and my wife go from renting to homeowners with peace of mind. Especially during a time of mortgage uncertainty (late 2022). Fantastic work! I highly recommend Lee to anyone who is either new to buying/selling or is seeking advice on what to do! THANK YOU! You have made our journey effortless.

I had an appointment booked for today at 2.p.m with the view to put my house on the market so I would be in a position to make an offer on a viewing tomorrow. I received a call around 1.30 to inform me that the agent is running 30 minutes late, making the expected visit for 2.30. 3.15 came. I rang the agents to be told she's not attending. To rub salt in the wounds furthermore I was told she couldn't come to me because of traffic and she would make the visit after me late. Viewing cancelled as I had wasted my day off waiting round for nothing.

Hugely disappointed with Bridford's Letting Team in Colne/ Burnley.Had really good first meeting with them, decided to give them 2 properties to manage and then things just went hideously wrong. Their Accounts team are a complete nightmare. Paid wrong amounts in to wrong bank accounts. Struggled to get Statements. Their after sales responses to our emails has been atrocious and, worse still, their Hidden Charges & Fees were never discussed or brought to our attention. READ THEIR SAMLL PRINT. Scandalous.

Contractors should avoid at all costs!! We fitted a cylinder in a property for this agent, and have received no payment, now three month overdue. They tried to pass us onto the landlord when we’ve worked direct with them. We’ve still heard nothing, despite numerous calls, emails, complaints. We will be forced to get a debt recovery involved. Would not recommend working for them!

If you are a first time buyer bridgfords Stalybridge will not let you buy a property unless they do a mortgage using their mortgage advisor, they are not interested in anything other than selling you a mortgage and the rates they offer are rubbish, they just offer the one which pays them the most comission! They are also rude and ignore calls and emails AVOID
I am sorry if you felt that our staff were rude in any way, that was not our intention, we always aim to provide great customer service. We are a very busy branch and sometime calls will need to go to voicemail. We never force anyone to use our inhouse services, we will always recommend, as one of the largest brokers in the industry we have access to a range of products and rates which are not always found elsewhere, however you are not under any obligation to use these services. We will always ensure that people looking to buy are in a position to proceed to protect our vendors as we are obligated to do under The Property Ombudsman code of practice.
