Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

The team at Bridgfords Stalybridge have been helpful and informative throughout with clear communication. They sold our house very quickly. Without a doubt the best money we spent during this process was hiring Pam Huq, the countrywide mortgage advisor that operates out of Bridgefords Stalybridge. Pam was excellent at breaking down and explaining in layman's terms the baffling world of mortgages. Pam was always available to answer our questions, from the simplest to the most complex, and responded very quickly via email. On a number of occasions Pam went beyond her remit in order to help us with questions we had about other areas of our sale/purchase. I would thoroughly recommend speaking to Pam about your mortgage needs.

An Estate Agency That Absolute Pleasure To Deal With. We have viewed a property recently with this agent and from initial contact (by email) it was an incredible experience. Kaitlin was sealing with us to arrange a viewing, she was polite, great communicator, demonstrated great deal of initiative. Kaitlin was there on Saturday morning, before appointed time of 9am, with property's doors open, printouts ready with property particulars and a land registry map. Excellent service guys! Put my property up for sale with them all they do is over promise, the staff have no idea, couldn’t accept any feed back and very patronising, everything was a struggle after 3 viewings in 7 months took house of the market with them. Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

We asked 5 local estate agents for a valuation. Only Gemma of Bridgfords enthused about our property and went away to do further research. The other four agents were casual in the extreme. Our property sold in two days and Stacy was absolutely dogged about solving many problems even helping us with buying another property in Durham. Friendly, knowedgable and efficient she was a treasure, even helping us to get our next house Insured when there were problems. Now that is value for money! You won't get better than that.

All 3 agents in the firm had an attitude problem. (Stacey and 2 other white women) Well done on being the most problematic women, no surprise there. Avoid if you can. Don't know what's happened to all the good women sales agents but this is just embarassing and degrading for women who genuinely do their jobs. Also avoid using their solicitors, they are just as problematic. Don't fall for the nice act they portray in the beginning, they only want your money.

Excellent attention to detail, superb communication and friendly, helpful attitudes all around. Although we didn’t find the ideal property with Bridgefords, and actually only communicated briefly over the course of week, I’d just like to thank them for their help. They were by far and above the best estate agent we spoke to in terms of helpfulness. They were committed to helping us find our perfect home, with Stacy always suggesting other alternatives to view, lining up new viewings that hadn't gone on the market yet, and keeping in touch with us. She was by far and above the best estate agent we dealt with in our house hunt, and would be an asset to sellers too. Carly was extremely helpful and caring in her approach to dealing with mortgages and finances, and I'd definitely recommend her great attitude and skill. Richard has also since been out to view the current property we are in and was a pleasure to deal with - again, outstanding friendly communication - couldn't fault them.

Excellent service from Richard and Ellie. Richard was very professional and suggested the correct valuation. After that, most of our dealings were with Ellie. I am very keen on good communication and was amazed at how good she was at keeping me up to date. She showed lots of initiative and was good at chasing others in the chain. The sale would have been much harder to deal without her involvement. Thoroughly recommended.
