Thanks for nothing

I got a membership in this February, visited 1 place then they closed it all. Since then almost nothing has reopened (in London for sure). So i can not use my membership, and they offer nothing instead, neither refund. Thanks for that.

Terrible booking system only releasing…

Terrible booking system only releasing a week at a time so unable to plan when to go, slots only opening on a Friday so those of us that work are unable to get anything booked so a complete waste of membership fee.

I've been a member for years

I've been a member for years, not anymore. The National Trust are treating their members with contempt, with no refund despite still being unable to book into any gardens. I will be seeking a chargeback with my bank for non-delivery of services.

Refused to cancel membership

Took out another membership in July after being a previous member for 4 years. Hadn't got round to using it so asked NT to cancel the membership. They refused and told me I was signed up for a year. Had to cancel DD with my bank.

I will never visit another national…

I will never visit another national trust property if they continue their radical woke nonsense! It's a shame as I have loved visiting many national trust properties in the past. However, I have to stick to my principles.

The Charity Commission needs to investigate

Very sad that this once-great body appears embarrassed by its a statutory duty to look after historic houses and gardens, now preferring narrow political activism.

I have been unable to visit Cliveden…

I have been unable to visit Cliveden for 3 months and the bookings are always sold out. Really disappointing that NT are not offering a membership extension. Only just paid for mine in March 2020 so have not used it at all.

Sad decline of a once superb organisation.

Just cancelled my membership after many years.Their response to my email was to copy and paste a load of 'woke 'claptrap to justify their slavery audit. The final irony was in their confirmation of my cancellation in which they changed my gender!

Where next!

Lots of places to visit with our membership! Lost one star for price in cafeteria but doesn't put us off our continued membership.

Unfair voting

I am a long term member. Restore Trust are right in saying that the quick vote system defeats any AGM party line opponents. The Charity Commissioners should review.

Waiting, waiting waiting...

I've also been in the queue for an hour+ this morning with no indication of when I'll be able to get in. This Eventbrite system doesn't work. National Trust you need a booking system provider that can meet your customer needs!

Ive been in the que over an hour ive tried weekly since parks reopened to get a ticket with no luck. Ive lost 3 months of our membership already i think as a member we should get priority for ticket release.

NT has lost its way with woke politicisation

I am a long term member with teenage children.I am appaled at the one-sided politicisation of race and history which the NT has now adopted and the dumbing down of its curation of the properties it looks after.

Staff and volunteers being failed by management

Quality of offering being clearly reduced. Senior staff being laid off to save money, money not being invested back into properties. Food very poor.

Cancelling my memberships

Cancelling my memberships. Fed-up with their political correctness. If they like BLM so much, they can still ask them for finacial support. I guess thay do not realise that these people would love every estate looted, burnt and bulldozed.

We visited Tyntesfield today and I was very disappointed. The idea of having gardening equipment on beautiful. Dining tables and in other ornate rooms totally ruined the experience for me.

Pathetic

I had every intention of subscribing to the National Trust, however having witnessed how appallingly they have reacted during the Pandemic, and their highlighting of it’s links to slavery and colonialism, forget it. Pathetically woke and out of touch....

The way the NT have dealt with members

The way the NT have dealt with members during this time is poor to say the least, and not at all like any other organisation which we are members of. We will not be renewing our membership this year.

No loyalty to its members.

It’s proving impossible to book tickets to a property, no priority bookings for members. They show no loyalty at all to them. Memberships should be extended but they won’t be. Definitely not renewing our membership when it runs out.
