Signed up for another £72 I understand they have to make their money, but with a year of no serviice and another with at best severe distancing, as someone with extreme respiratory issues I feel this is taking the ****. All it would have taken was a reasonable renewal fee not legal threats!!!!

TrustpilotImpossible to cancel membership
Impossible for my elderly parents to cancel their membership. They are now too disabled to travel to NT sites. They can't get through on phone line and they won't accept email from me, but are happy to take the annual direct debit regardless.Seems like a very immoral way to treat members.

TrustpilotAbsolutely no possible contact with NT
Absolutely no possible contact with NT. Their customer service is appalling. Unable to change our address. People beware this is a very badly organised trust who are absolutely indifferent to its supporters and customers

TrustpilotNational Trust's left-wing agenda
The National Trust is becoming woke so my spouse and I both cancelled our memberships.Update. Now that the leadership of the National Trust have shown support for BLM - which in my mind is one of the most dangerous ideologies and movements - I'm definitely not going to be renewing.

TrustpilotNational Trust Quick Vote is corrupt
The National Trust introduction of Quick Vote and their refusal to disclose the number who used it is dishonest and lacking in transparency. It's corrupt. I note there is now a petition against Quick Vote on petitiononline.uk

TrustpilotGone down hill
We went for a Sunday day out to Dunster Castle but should have stayed at home in Ilfracombe, truly shocking day and will never visit a National Trust site again, they have lost their way and seem to be a organisation in decline.

Disappointed with rip off charges in cafe at Ickworth House, asked to purchase 3 cream Tea's being scone, jam, clotted cream and tea, everything was charged as separates inflating the prices being almost £20 for 3 cream teas almost £6.30 each. Such a rip off. Most places charge £2.50/£3, this is double any cafe.. why

TrustpilotNATIONAL TRUST NO LONGER FIT FOR PURPOSE
After being a member for 20 years I will not being renewing my membership. Every property now gas so many left wing woke displays that I can no longer support this organisation. I want an organisation that is apolitical not one that pushes a trend down visitors throat.

TrustpilotBooked events over the phone
Booked events over the phone. Given inaccurate information on more than one occasion. Telephone staff did not seem to know what they were doing. Used the number in the Near You leaflet received through the post. No mention in there that I could have booked online which would have saved a lot of hassle.

TrustpilotBodnant Garden woes
Have visited Bodnant Gardens today. Many footpaths are inaccessible as well as no seating for at the Dell food kiosk due to COVID regulations overkill. Had to stand while eating expensive gristly Cornish pasties which should be avoided. Generally not a good experience.

We're key workers just started our holiday leave got 4 gardens to visit in our 2 weeks off. was not impressed by over grown gardens & reading a notice asking visitors to text £5 towards helping the NT. Think there are more deserving charities that need help through covid .

I've found my membership to be worthwhile, simply because of the wide array of attractions available. I don't like sometimes having to pay an additional fee to gain entry, having already paid for membership, hence 4 stars not 5, but they do some good work

Well done National Trust for not being bullied by the far right. Imagine thinking that acknowledging facts about our heritage and sources of historical wealth in this country is something to hide. We are family members and support you and applaud you particularly at this difficult time. 👏

TrustpilotBEWARE direct debts they wont stop
BEWARE - I signed 1 year direct debt to join and told it would only be for 1 year. They have taken 2 years direct debts and are.now refusing to cancel the direct debt for.another 8 months. It is a scam. DO NOT sign any paperwork and only pay per visit.

I am also very disappointed that NT will not be adding the missed months onto the end of memberships. We treated our parents to a membership for their birthdays and they haven’t used it yet. I will not be renewing my membership or theirs when it is due for renewal

The job of the National Trust is to look after its buildings - nothing else. It’s not the job of the National Trust to lecture it’s members and volunteers with their woke views of British history. We have cancelled our membership and will not be volunteering again either.

TrustpilotNational Trust Needs to Reconsider
I know has been said before but I think it's important to document - National Trust members should definitely get priority booking. I am a member and a key worker but despite staying up past midnight and getting up at the crack of dawn I still can't get tickets!

TrustpilotGo woke, go broke.
I am wondering why this institution feels the need to insult its members with its recent slavery review on which, no doubt, a great deal of money has been lavished, while members of the public have not been able to access the facilities without a complicated queuing system.
