Abysmal customer service now

Abysmal customer service now. I have been trying to contact them since Feb by phone and email with no response. getting to think my only option is to stop the direct debit. I have been a member for many years and its never been like this before.

National Trust

National Trust, National RIP off.Very embarrassing, as our son gave my wife and I joint membership as a Christmas present, which there seems no prospect of us ever being able to use.To those who run the National Trust, our membership cost may be just petty cash, to most of us it is not.To be asked for another £5, shows a completely disregard for Members.Never again.

Appalling customer service

As before, we paid for membership for 3 grand-children on 7th February and are still waiting for 1 membership pack. Attempts to call their 0800 number get no response - have been on hold for at least an hour in total. We think the phone lines are unmanned.

Managed by a load of woke lefties!

Too woke! Loosing touch with its roots to preserve the nation's precious heritage. I’m sure many families would not have donated their precious homes had they had the ability to look into the future to what The Trust has become - managed by a load of woke lefties!

Made two visits since lockdown

Made two visits since lockdown. Overreaction to the virus so visitor experience greatly reduced. Refreshment facilities poor, although appreciate a great reliance on volunteers.Unhappy with this so call review of properties connected with slavery, how much did this cost us? Any review like this is subjective. Will review membership. I can make up my own mind, I don't need so called historians patronising me!

Cancelled holiday booking

After enjoying numerous holidays in NT properties we had a booking that had to be moved from 2019 to 2023 due to Covid. The new price quoted was over double the original paid. After a complaint the NT moved the booking and honoured the original price, the NT did the right thing and this has restored some faith that they actually listen.

Membership Renewal - Taking members for granted

Taking their members for granted on renewal membership prices following Covid. Despite being unable to offer, for most of this past year, the full product offering that members purchased (houses not open, limited capacity to get into grounds), the NT feel it's appropriate not to offer any discount for 2021-22 membership renewals. The best they can do is 2019 prices.

NO REPLY ON THE PHONES WORKING FROM HOME ?

Is it working from home why they don't answer the phones I wonder? After two attempts to contact them by phone with long waits on hold and no one answering I just wonder if my above question is the true answer to the problem.

Another fabulous visit!

Another fabulous experience at a National Trust House - this time at Max Gate in Dorset. Only thing that let it down is no refreshments onsite. Apparently there was tea / coffee facilities previously - please bring them back @NationalTrust - to make this property score a perfect 5 stars! Highly recommend a visit though!

Shameful National Trust

Shameful treatment of its members and the public by the National Trust. There is no Trust!

I have also tried to book a slot over the past few weeks, but without any success. Yes the NT is a charity, but what a shame it cannot be more charitable to its members. It has reserves of one billion and an annual income of half a billion, yet it is asking its members to pay for membership and receive nothing in return!

I cycled up to Sizergh Castle yesterday and waited in the long queue for a cup of tea and a scone. The counter staff looked completely disinterested, like a bunch of Zombies, exhumed for the occasion. It took an interminably long time to get to the check out.Wake up and treat your customers properly.I won't be stopping there again.

NT will not cancel membership

We have only managed to book and visit one site this year but the NT refuses to cancel our membership. As a lifelong supporter of the organisation, I'm shocked to be treated in the is way...we won't be joining again. A contract is meant to be two way and they are simply not providing their side of the agreement at the moment.

Wonderful walk at Polsden Lacey

Wonderful walk at Polsden Lacey. Although a bit annoying you have to pre book it does mean that it’s well managed and enjoyable as you can walk around socially distanced without any fears. The toliet facilities are open and a take away cafe. Would totally recommend as it was wonderful to get out in fresh air and blow away the cobwebs.

Overzealous access restrictions to wide open spaces

The National Trust’s new booking policy is ridiculous. I maintained my membership throughout the pandemic because I wished to support my local site. With only the open spaces accessible, there is no need to restrict access in this way. If the general public can socially distance in a supermarket, they can manage it in acres of parkland. Reconsider policy and extend all memberships.

Really bad treatment of members during lockdown. Can't book anywhere even though I've been trying on several occasions to book early on a Friday when tickets apparently open for the week ahead. Always fully booked. They need to at least reduce the membership renewal prices to account for members not being able to access the places that their memberships have paid for.

After the performance of National Trust…

After the performance of National Trust in 2020 with their campaign against everything that stands for being British my wife and I have not renewed our membership and have made the decision never to visit a National Trust property again, there are lots of other organisations to support in these difficult times when places open up to the public again.

Had left a £25000 gift to national trust in my will, But since it has become woke, Anti British The trust will receive not one penny, Our Heritage should not be left to a bunch of far left, weak individuals, if you haven't already I ask you cancel Yr membership & let these Leftwing vandals know what you think,

Excellent experience

This morning at 8.10am I booked two NT member tickets to visit Polesden Lacey next Wednesday. I got the date and time I wanted, and the tickets were sent to me straight away attached to an email. I printed the tickets to take with me on the day. The whole booking process took about two minutes, plus printing. Perhaps things are improving?

The wife got me NT membership out the blue ...kinda wishing she hadn't after reading the reviews on here .... underpaid staff on zero hours contracts . After checking out the local venues in the west midlands some are very limited in opening hours which is no use to me . I'm kinda disappointed personally i wouldn't bother signing up for limited service ...and overprice cafes !

I have reported the National Trust to Martin Lewis website.

The National Trust is little better than a scam. Why are they making no effort to reopen when others have managed ? Simple, they have taken members money up front. They are making no offer to extend membership despite not offering a service . Please can others report to Martin Lewis or contact the managing director. Email address available on Google

Esteemed charity with the great legacy of more than 125 years. National Trust people are putting their best skills and abilities to enable UK heritage intact. All National Trust properties and places are worth visiting. National Trust enables their members, visitors and supporters to have a great experience whenever they visit National Trust properties and places. No doubt of it being 5 star organisation.

Overpaid staff, poor service.

Seventeen members of staff paid over £100,000. Chief Executive on £200,000.Time taken to send out membership cards after taking payment two months and counting. Temporary cards only last a limited time, we are on our third renewal each necessitating a phone call.No apology on website or on here.Time for the Charity Commission to take a look?
