Me & my friends have faced the most vile forms of racism & harrassment by our co-tenants in a shared student accommodation, while the agency looked on. A lukewarm phonecall to our co-tenants is how you let them know it's okay to carry on with their aggressions. Tolerance towards such acts does not reflect well on the agency & I hope this changes for the better. Step up to bullying, OpenArch. Please, do better. I implore you. UPDATE: The agency has made it clear that further action *may* be taken *if* a similar incident occurs in the future. My wife Mary and I are well into our old age. We sold our house in Liverpool last year, and moved to Peterborough to be nearer to our son and his young family. We soon became aware that it would not be a comfortable experience to stay in hotels for the longer than anticipated time it would take to buy our new dream home and the furniture. So, when we were offered the chance to rent a furnished flat in Abbeyfields it ticked several boxes on our survival script, and was a great relief. We have much appreciated the facilities available, the location convenient for the City, and the support staff and services provided by OpenArch Properties. Our house is now ready for us to occupy, but we know we would wish to contact OpenArch again, if ever we need to, or to recommend it to other people looking for excellent accommodation. Do not rent with them! There are many reasons why I will never rent from these agents again. 1. Overpriced everything just to take your money; properties, repairs, cleaning afterwards. 2. Deposit - I left the room in a better condition than I received it. I hoovered 3 times and yet they deducted from my deposit. However, even worse apparently it costs £158 to repaint a small wall. We also cleaned the property and yet they charged us an extra £180 in total. 3. Repairs - After moving in we had a leaking toilet which took 4 weeks to repair. 4. Poor costumer service - people working there don't care about you at all. 5. Appalling state of the properties - mouldy kitchens and bathrooms, cracked windows, dirty carpets.
