I paid a weeks holding fee for a property with them for them then to say I hadn’t been accepted due to a bad reference off my old landlord who I then myself contacted (my current agents and asked them about the reference as all rent etc was now paid up to date before looking for a new property my current agents agreed and said they don’t understand who sent the bad reference and would look into it ) I had already explained the issue with with rent a one month half late payment due to personal circumstances which was now paid UP TO DATE I also showed them proof off this, they also had the audacity to call me a liar over a ccj if I know of a ccj I would have declared this however I only got the letter after applying for the property, now all this is fine they have rights to not accept me on these terms HOWEVER the fact they had no intention of contacting me to tell me this I had to ring them several times to find out what was happening with my application then on top of this refused to pay me back the holding fee that I had paid and I quote “ on the bases they had done applications and took the property off the market and it was a waste of there time” this isn’t valid for keeping someone’s holding fee for the property! Money should be taken when accepted for the property rude staff who don’t keep you informed and scam you out of your money avoid like the plague

TrustpilotBad company
I rented a property from Belvoir in Sheerness when they first opened and changed names.Karen the manager did help with everything. It was a very nice property. 6 months after living here I received a letter staying they had done an inspection, and they will be visiting again as it was left untidy from toys.I phoned them and asked why they had been in my house without informing me first. They said they sent out a letter and they can not speak on behalf of royal mail if I did no receive this letter.I said a phone call would of been appreciated. They said they do not have time to do this. After they had been in my house while I was at work I was worried once they did this again and I might of been in the shower etc.I then gave my notice in, I had to pay for the oven to be cleaned. Before checkout they told me to give them the desposit information, so I phoned deposit protection and they told me I should not do this because they can take all my deposit.checkout I keeped my deposit. They do try it! They are very rude

TrustpilotLesley Parklands, Belfast
Requested to view an apartment at Lesley Parklands, Knocknagoney Road, Belfast.Received a text message stating their viewings are fully booked?Surely they would still be able to provide a date pending agreed let. I wonder if the landlord is aware of the restricted viewings.

Leamington Sales office of Belvoir sold my flat and dealt with the matter in a most helpful and professional manner, keeping me abreast of developments at all times.. assisting tbe buyer, replying to emails by return and liaising with the lawyers constantly.. Ashton at the office was a huge help.

TrustpilotEasier transaction than I expected
The staff at BelvoirHaydock made a fraught process much easier for me. I was kept informed all the time and felt that my sale was very important to them. At the end of the process every thing went very smoothly and as I was told to expect it to be. Very grateful for their expertise and professionalism.

allAgents"I had very negative..."
I had very negative experience with this agent.
Made me keep changing my viewing dates for two potential properties.
Ended up not seeing any because on the day we was going to see two of them (and we travelled over an hour) we got 5m away from where we were mean to meet running 10m late due to travel issues which we updated them on prior to journey as there was a broken down train. Despite having a call and confirming our slightly late attendance, we didnt get confirmation that the viewing was (yet again) cancelled till we were nearly at the viewing.
So another hour or so travel back as we didnt even see the property
Wasted time, journey, money.....
All we got was a "ah well, we will arrange it another time.."
Yeah sure.

TrustpilotMust be the most sluggish estate agent on the street
2 days to offer a viewing.4 days to update the file that offer was accepted. After 9 days no memorandum of saleAfter 9 days still not informed of vendors solicitor..This company is obsessed with getting kickbacks from solicitors. Expediting the sale of houses does not seem to be on the agenda.I was a cash buyer seeking a fast completion. After waiting 9 days for Belvoir to get their act together, I gave up and bought a property through a local agent. The local agent (Lovettts) went from enquiry to memorandum of sale in less than 7 hours, and I understand that they are significantly cheaper than Belvoir. They created none of the unnecessary administrative hurdles and obfuscations of Belvoir. The vendor lost his sale because he appointed a completely unprofessional estate agent.

TrustpilotShocking letting agent
Shocking letting agent, providing wrong information then charging £300+ for their mistakes!Been a tenant with Belvoir for over 8 months, reached out to our letting agent to ask if they would be able to advertise the flat early as my partner and I were looking to buy a house, and naturally could not afford to pay rent and a mortgage at the same time so got in touch to see if they would be able to help. They responded by stating that our fixed term ended in early September and that they would take this as our notice to leave. Following this I chased 3 times over the following month to confirm that they were certain that this was the case and again it was confirmed that our last rent payment is due in August and that we will need to cover all the bills etc until the 11th September. As this was confirmed to us multiple times by the Letting agent we proceeded with our house purchase that will complete in line with the end of tenancy that they told us. Now a month later again, we get an email out of the blue that now they have actually reviewed things that we our tenancy now ends in November not September like they stated twice before even when chased for clarity. On top of this they have suddenly come up with \"£300 relet charge fee\" so that they can start marketing the property early, which is not mentioned anywhere in any agreements so attempting to \"bend us over a barrel\". Since they have realised there monumental mistake, which has potentially put us into a big financial situation, and we have attempted to further communicate with them once again they have fallen back into form of not responding. I appreciate that mistakes can be made, but instead of owning the mistake and try to work with us to come up with a solution then I would have been happy to give them 5 stars as their maintenance team have been brilliant. But instead they haven\'t acknowledged the mistake that they made, nor even apologised, but thrown us a bill for £300 which is not written in any agreements and not even attempted to open a dialogue on finding a solution. I am extremely disappointed with Belvoir and hopefully this comes to a happy resolution, but given the current course I am not holding my breath.

TrustpilotSheerness swale belvoir are disgusting…
Sheerness swale belvoir are disgusting vile people! Michael who works there is a massive liar and a witch called Caron who has a vile attitude and has a bad habit on putting the phone down on you. We bought a house through these. The house had a mouse infestation, and in our contract it states the house has to be clean and acceptable for us to move in. I got my solicitor to get the seller to have pest control come out and fix the problem. I asked this Michael for proof. I never got it. I asked him has it been dealt, all the mice holes filled in etc, as I have a 3 year old I want it safe and no poison about. He said yes the seller had someone out to do it. Yes the holes are filled etc. And that he went to the house and didn’t see any traces of the mice anymore. We went to the house today, Mice crap and urine everywhere. Black mould. Mice in the loft as well we found out! holes everywhere still not filled in. Widow infestation! We took up some floor boards because the house stinks, and there’s dead rats and mice under the floor boards and nests. We wish we didn’t buy this place now!! All they did was put a couple of traps down. Traps that could break my little boys fingers! these scum bags do not even care that I have a bubba. and on top of this, they was calling me near everyday harassing me. the amount of stress these people caused. Michael said the boiler works, but it doesn’t. So that’s another cost we didn’t expect. that Caron called me asking me how much money I have in my bank even though she has no right to ask me that. I didn’t tell her so she hung up on me, then she got her husband peter to call me even though he has nothing to do with this! What a complete weirdo! leather face witch! Heartless scum bags!!!!!

I seriously advise you not to deal with them.Their speciality is to charge you a lot for every little thing but when it comes to services they are absolutely unreliable, don't care about the problems that arise and really take their time dealing with issues. The boiler broke down in our property in the middle of winter; we were left with no hot water or heating for a long time. Even though they were fully aware of the problem and how cold the property was, and there were temporary solutions that they could have put in place, they really took their time dealing with it. Unbelievable!

TrustpilotDerby branch
I spoke to a lady who didn't even give me her name and she took my details down when i arranged to view a property. Me and my partner are both first time buyers and this was our first house viewing so we were both quite excited.we turned up at the property and we were stood outside for half an hour before I phoned the office. Me and my partner were going to give them the benefit of the doubt since there was a lot of traffic about. I spoke to a guy called Jamie who told me they had cancelled the viewing because the property had been sold! and we shouldn't have been allowed to make a viewing! I had received no communication to inform me that the property had been sold. The property in question is still advertised on their website with no mention of it being sold or even being under offer! me and my partner had travelled 40 minutes for the viewing and we had both taken half a day at work. Hes a self employed builder so he lost out on upwards of £100. beyond unhappy!

Probably the worst estate agent I have had to deal with. They sold my flat and that's about the only positive thing. Communication is awful. They don't keep in touch, staff are never there, telephones never answered. There are lots of estate agents out there and they are all better than this lot.

TrustpilotTook a generous lump of my deposit
After renting from Belvoir in Yorkshire, after renting for only a short amount of time, Belvoir decided to take for themselves a generous lump of my deposit, all for the tiniest bit of dirt I missed. Is hiring professional cleaners really necessary for this? Had I been told, I'd have done it for them! Disappointed after the deep clean I had given the flat. I do feel that estate agents take advantage of the deposit scheme.
