Carrwood Park

My boyfriend and I have just bought our first home on the Carrwood Park development. I cannot thank, praise, and speak highly enough of Sarah, Shaun and all of the team!! We absolutely love our first home and cannot wait for the future in it. From day one, everyone we have worked with and spoken with have had the best knowledge and helped us with the highest respect and confidence. Tina Walker at Stoneyford Green

We were helped today by Tina at Stoneyford Green. We went to look at the show homes after driving past the development a couple of weeks ago. Tina couldn't have been more helpful - she answered any questions me and my partner had (we're first time buyers so we were a bit apprehensive) and went through all purchase options, schemes etc.We both feel so much better after going in and having a conversation and are looking forward to being updated on the houses coming up in 2025.

Waste of Space

Been in the property for a year, with all the defects we had to sort its been a nightmare.Recently I've noticed there's a gap high level between the window and roof facia. Reported to gleeson as we are still in our 2 year warranty there response- As this defect wasn't discovered when I moved in they will not be carrying out any works as this isn't gleeson fault.* reviewedGleeson did react with a visit in July with a visit from the site manager who frankly not knowing my back ground in construction came across i didn't know what i was talking about 😂. Still no action has been taken.

Solid Experience, Nice House! (Hawthorn Fields)

Contrary to all the negative reviews, we had a great experience buying through Gleeson. Scott was always available to help out and give updates on the house while it was being built. After moving in, the builders have always come round pretty quickly and fixed any issues and snags.As for the house itself, it is well designed with plenty of space and as with all new builds it is nice and energy efficient. As other reviews mention, there are a couple of snags on the finishing, but at the end of the day it is affordable and is a lot better than the houses we viewed in the same price range.Overall, very positive!

Seemless experience at Spring Mill

From when we first enquired at Spring Mill, reserving our home, to finally getting the last part of our sale done the team at Gleeson were amazing. Suzanne guided us through the whole process with so much knowledge and care, every bump in the road she dealt with so quickly! Nothing was ever too much for her - she was on hand constantly and I couldn’t of asked for anymore from her. She’s helped us with every question, concern, all communication and any paperwork! Nothing phased her, she’s a asset to Gleeson and I would go to her directly again ten times over. She’s the kindest lady and I don’t think we’d of been able to get to where we are without her help and dedication to her clients.

We have just moved into a new Gleeson home.

We have just moved into a new Gleeson home on Crown gardens. We were guided through the whole experience from first showing interest on the development to completion and moving in by Amaara, she looked after our interests every step of the way. Everyone on the development seems so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for Mark the site manager, anything you need doing he will sort it. Well done Amaara and Gleeson we are very pleased with our new home.

Poor post sale

We have a gleeson property and bought it 6 years ago when it was 8 years old. We are now selling it and have discovered the completion certificates were not done by gleeson and the relevant paperwork was not fully completed by them after building. (I am aware our solicitor should have seen this bit did not) To add the that they are being very unhelpful in responding the the queries we have. The house construction is fine it's just the company as a whole seems to just want the money and make shortcuts in completing documents.

Very friendly staff!!

Very friendly staff!!! Moved in 1 week ago, the development looks really nice and house quality seems to be great so far compared to other developers. What I found to be really special about this place is the staff, both sale office and their solicitors. They have helped us a lot during our buying process and always kept in touch with us updating or advising us on the next step to do. Sue from the sale office has been an absolute legend, she was really professional and friendly through out the process Great Costumer Service Skills! In terms of house quality i don't think i am entitled to have an opinion just yet as i just moved in 1 week ago but what i found nice compared to other developers were i lived before is: -the distance between windows and ceiling is the same from a end to the other on all rooms,- walls are straight - paint quality could be a bit better (it's non washable one) but at least is wipeable- The cupboards and extras installed are really nice, EPC rating B, - the electric charger works perfectly Project EV 7.3KW - BT connection ready done aHouse quality, all seems to be ok with no obvious issues. Location, incredible Staff A++Highly recommend !!

We have been visiting the site for a few months now whilst waiting to secure a sale on our current property and have found all the sales advisors to be knowledgeable and friendly.After finally accepting an offer we checked the status of the plots online and found the released plot we had been hoping for had unfortunately been reserved. Nightmare!Close to giving up we visited the sales office where we met Emma for the first time who confirmed the worst.Seeing our obvious disappointment she went above and beyond and we were able to reserve an alternative plot with our preferred style of house.The level of customer care Emma provided was fantastic and flipped our disappointment on its head.We now have full confidence moving forward and can begin to look forward to working towards completion.Thanks again Emma and all at Gleeson (Cumbria)!

Gleesons bungalows lovely

So we seen a bungalow on right move at the woodlands it’s a gleesons build and we thought no harm to go and look. The lady “Deborah” was great really helpful nothing was a bother. No pressure no hard sell just you know nice. Anyway she answered all our questions then told us to go look at the show bungalow only a few miles away. They are very nice and great layout looks like we need to pick a plot.

My experience being a first time buyer was a very quick process to say the least but this was due to the house being built almost a year, nevertheless that didn’t put me off. From the very beginning Adam the Sales Executive has been very helpful and informative and guided me every step of the way. Every time I felt stressed or anxious, he quickly reassured me that everything will go to plan and it did. I’m very happy with the house and the Site Management Richard and Dec have been brilliant in sorting out the very little snags I identified. Could have been a lot smoother

I like the house and my plot but could have been much much smoother.Gleeson push and push completion only for me to complete on an incomplete house. Over 130 issues were identified upon receiving the keys delaying my move while they tried to rectify the long list of defects. Carpenters, painters, decorators, plumbers, ground workers, brick layers, window fitters all attended.I finally move in after waiting for over a month to sort out all the other issues to find a damaged window which they now accuse me of doing. Disgusted really. Didn’t spend over 250k on a house for damaged windows. Thought it was a new house Gleeson? Would like to thank finisher Alan and Tony for their efforts - although the house should have been finished before I got the keys!Next doors path was laid too high and is level with my damp proof course which isn’t to code so still waiting to see about that.

Shocking customer after care

Been in the house almost a year, snags pointed out within months (1 on key day) of completion still be be completed or been told it’s not getting done or has been half arsed (key day snag is hidden behind the fridge) not the point. Leading up the the completion we had less and less updates almost like they didn’t want us to know that our house was going to be delayed or had no work done to it for a while. Wasn’t even told it passed inspection, solicitor and mortgage informed us the expected completion date and the rest of the bill. Handover was atrocious, got told nothing on the day, in fact the person who do it was looking at us to help her with the check list. Took 4/5 months to get an option we paid for to be installed since it was missing, was mentioned in a email after key day just clarifying if it will be installed just before completion. When we got the keys all of the quality stickers were still all over the house and hadn’t/haven’t been fixed (were there on demo and more was noticed during demo and still the same state on completion).Master bedroom is constantly cold, sure the radiator is too small for the room (the room is the size of the garage), some radiators are very small. Despite being told we have 2 years to snag get told we left it too late or we could’ve caused the snag ourselves. Other than the very poor customer care after completion and leading up to it, you can make it a very nice and cosy home. Can tailor it to your personal style as it’s a blank canvas.
