Un-responsive staff, tenants deposit holder

I am extremely disappointed the way they treat their customer. I rented a apartment through 1staveneue.co.uk last year 2020 during lockdown, so we could not visit the property and through video and information provided us we confirmed the property. The property were listed as "zero deposit" but when we like the property and informed our current landlord about our move, they asked us 5 weeks deposit. This was the first think they fooled us. Anyway we have to move so we paid deposit.

The team was consistently helpful and accommodating throughout the whole experience. We had a cancellation of a viewing due to access issues at the last minute, but the team was able to sort a viewing out at an identical property at short notice, to prevent a wasted journey for us. This led to us successfully getting the property, so we really appreciated this. The team has also been very responsive to any queries we had, both over phone calls and email. Similarly, they have proactively kept us in the loop with any updates, without us having to chase. Our entire process of moving was kept as as stress-free as possible, and we have the entire team to thank for that.

They will try to scam you as much as possible, I have never been treated as badly as i have with this agency. They will use every legal avenue to scam you and withhold your deposit from you. Please also read up on your rights as a tenant, they are not up to date on this and will use outdated laws against tenants. Emotionally draining tenants is their goal which explains the high turnover. Please rent elsewhere.
