Avoid at all costs

Hawes and Co offer a really terrible property management service. We reported that the extractor fan was broken and it took them 3 months to fix it (over winter so the property was impossible to heat). Then they left the communal gardens unmaintained for 3 months! (still waiting on this to be fixed). If you want to live somewhere nice with an agent who will act upon issues and actually cares about its tenants, don't rent with Hawes and Co.

Great service!

I can highly recommend Hawes & Co for an attentive, courteous and effective service in selling my aunt's property, just when the property market took a downturn! Throughout, I had a single point of contact, Sarah, which made the whole process easier. She was very professional and at all times very responsive, promptly answering any queries and giving advice when necessary; the perfect go-between liaising between seller and buyer. I can not praise Hawes & co enough, especially mr Michael Gibson who took my property on, initially a simply straight forward sale, no chains etc.. but he went the extra mile on every occasion with each and every unexpected turn of events, anyone of which would have each been capable of terminating the process. I was overcome with the stresses they presented but he kept me focused n assurances that nothing was impossible. He was right. His help was invaluable under the hurdles presented to us one what proved insurmountable to many. Me especially included, as I had spent years in the same business, both locally n in the West end of London. Never, throughout my whole career have I met such a property consultant so willing and able to make it happen contributing many out of hours time n energy on my behalf.

I have recently moved to a property managed by Hawes and couldn't ask for a better service. Joe, the Lettings agent who showed me the property and arranged all paperwork was extremely helpful and professional. Moving in made stress-free and straight forward. Recently, I spotted a leak in my bathroom, and while I was getting ready to spend the night at a hotel ( couldn't make any use of bathroom appliances ), I reported the issue to Property Management, led by the remarkable Mahmoud. Turns out, the issue was sorted on the same day. Just like that. I can't thank you enough Mahmoud. This team is really something special, keep it up.

I don't move home that often, and technology has advanced since my first move. However... I don't ever forget the importance of the human touch, of personal contact. When I wanted to sell my Surbiton home in 2016, I selected Hawes as my agent of choice, especially after Greg had come to see the house. However, being cautious, I gave up the benefits of a single agent fee and also used another local agent. The house wasn't cheap - but we sold to one of Greg's buyers within the first week - to someone who wouldn't normally have contemplated the type of house; he encouraged her to view it, and the deal was done. It was the sheer customer knowledge and personality of Greg that made the sale, for very close to asking price. We sold the house before we had a single person through the door from the other agent. Greg followed the sale throughout its course, and helped when we needed to chivvy the agents for the new house. I can't be fulsome enough in my praise.
