I was not impressed at all by M Hodgson, requested a valuation with the intention of listing the property through his Estate Agency. He turned up late, had in my opinion a poor attitude and understanding of the area and then offered a Very Low valuation price. Obviously didn't get our business, the Estate Agent who did get the business arrived on time, knew the area well and offered an accurate valuation which we were happy with.

Great communication throughout the whole process, and would definitely recommend to friends and family looking to move home. Very professional and positive experience.

Having utilised most estate agents in the local area, I can say based on experience these are the best. Reasons why? They always answer the phone or ring you back, be it for a viewing, a sale or a purchase. Open and honest. Gave weekly updates verbally and also bothered to chase other agents/solicitors and vendors. Even when I knew it was awkward as I was chasing the other parties daily at one point. The office are polite and friendly. When it got close to the move they were all over it daily and anticipated most of the concerns raised, always having an answer. if we ever move again (hopefully we won't) MH will be the first call made. Excellent service.

This was our third attempt to sell our property with Michael Hodgson Estate Agents. The previous 2 fell attempts fell through (due to no fault of MH) but the latest was successful and the service from MH was impeccable from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Highly recommended. Some say that Estate Agents now do little to earn their commission. This was not true about Joe, who proactively marketed our late father’s house and rapidly found suitable buyers. He was understanding and helpful with the delays due to difficulties in obtaining probate. He willingly provided help by attending in person to let people into the house when we were not able to be there and making sure that in was secure.
