Smooth and Hassle‑Free Experience from Start to Finish

I had a great experience throughout the entire process, from the initial search right through to moving into the apartment. All the executives were highly professional while also being extremely helpful. The agreement signing and handover of keys were completely hassle-free. They also supported me with raising name‑change requests with the local council and energy providers. The team was always available at the agreed times and responded promptly to all my queries. Overall, the experience was smooth and very well managed.

Quality rather than quantity - works for me!

Listed in June, not a million viewers but given that we had an intervening (and disruptive) election and budget the 3 views we had gave 2 repeat views and an offer in August. I am happy to have quality rather than quantity! Also kept us informed of the progress of the sale - a better option sometimes than relying on your conveyancer/solicitor. Helped liaise with the buyer, and finally got us over the line! Happy days and a new adventure on the horizon with our next project house!

Superb start to finish service.

From start to finish Carter Jonas were helpful, proactive and friendly in helping us sell our late fathers property. Whlist the property is in a lovely setting it requires a lot of work to bring it up to todays standards. It was also once part of a large country estate and there were various issues with regard to shared facilities and access rights. CJ halped guide us through the process and came up with proactive suggestions on addressing those sticking points. If their lead agent was away for any reason someone immediately stepped in and ensure progress was not interupted.

Awful service

Awful service! I went to view a house with my 17 year old son and we really liked it. We dealt with Nyah from the Shrewsbury office and I got the impression that she immediately discriminated against us. She was giving us false figures to try and put us off saying the deposit was higher than it worked out at, also that the council tax was 2 grand higher than it actually is! It was as if she did not believe we could afford such a house. Then told me that as we are both self employed we would have to prove income for 3 years. As I knew this was not correct, my husband phoned a few days later and she told him self employed was fine and we’d need to provide bank statements for 1 year for referencing and would he like to apply for the house. He asked why she had told me completely different information and she got completely defensive and then said we could not apply. Good luck to the landlords with her being in charge of managing their property.

Renters beware

Rental property managed by this company on behalf of Hs2 on moving out half my deposit kept for issues not really fair, they wanted £20 for grass seed! As the lawn had died just one petty example, trying to get repairs done is difficult, they send individuals round who haven’t a clue, bodge job fix with promises to come back then never do, then charges on the tenant for issues that wouldn’t have arisen had the repairs been completed fully. The excuse - it wasn’t reported. Well have they tried their website?? Jobs reported but not actioned for weeks, when the emails are finally read, it’s all about the money and not the customers (renters). Would strictly not rent a property managed by this company ever again. They are not there for the tenants but solely to make money and for their landlords. Rented all my life moved a few times and always got all my deposit back in full. Until now.

We have been working with Carter Jonas in Fulham (their office is at 361 Fulham Palace Rd) for over 5 years. Igor Simonov leads the team and Sam Jarvis helps us daily. They are very professional and very helpful. Very important for all landlords - and tenants as well for that matter - they are honest and trustworthy. Due to being messed about by another letting agent we had been left without a property to move into and a deadline looming on the property we were vacating. Within a couple of days of viewing with Carter Jonas we had been accepted for a new property and referencing was well under way. The whole process has been slick and efficient and within a couple of weeks we had signed a tenancy agreement and had a confirmed move in date. We (unusually) are commenting as we are buyers who bought a house in Oxford via this firm. Our main contact was Julia Wilson. It was a complex purchase with multiple hurdles. Julia acted for the executors. I felt she always had her clients interests at heart and fought hard for them. Deliberately trying to put off tenants with pets

I am trying to rent somewhere and have a dog. The new Renters Rights Act should make it easier, but Carter Jonas do the opposite. I was told today that they have a 'huge backlog of pet requests and it's taking around 1.5 months to get permission from a building manager' so no point even asking. Surely that's something that can happen in principle before a property is marketed? I believe they are using delays and unhelpfulness as a way of continuing to exclude tenants with pets.

What a great company to deal with. The whole process, from arranging the initial viewing to finally signing a tenancy exuded professionalism. Rachel was so expert and helpful (even responding to me on what I found out was her day off) and nothing was too much trouble. Tanya also went above and beyond to save the day when we were let down by an external agency. If she hadn't, it would have been really quite a major inconvenience. On the strength of these two members of staff alone I would heartily recommend Carter Jonas. Not to mention the smooth process around background checks and deposit collection etc.
