We rented 2 of our properties through Fine and Country thinking they would be an excellent company, unfortunately this was the opposite of our experience. The branch we used, Wandsworth Bridge Road, was run by a man called James Watson (who now owns The Finer Group Estate Agency) and he turned out to be a complete crook and lied to us. He collected 12 months rent from our tenants, did not tell us then every month we had to threaten legal action to get our money! We contacted Head Office about him and they said each branch is a franchise so couldn’t - and wouldn’t help us. We got the Ombudsman involved in the end and we got our rent money and managed to get out of the contracts with him but he withheld the tenants deposits. Horrible man - be very careful and Fine and Country were not supportive at all - make sure you research their managers/owners

6 days ago-We were reluctant to putting our property on the market until we found the one we wanted as our forever home, the man I initially spoke with was very helpful and explained the market and how that could effectively become a barrier (long story short), so we trusted him and started the ball rolling, and I'm glad we did, because our home (We've settled in nicely and had our first christmas here with all of the family) had interest from another couple that were not yet on the market, we accepted a strong offer on ours after 7 weeks, so we could then put forward our offer for here. Basically we just wanted to say thank you, for taking the time to help us, in what was a little bit of a daunting situation, if you hadn't of done, we may not now have our dream home. Professional, helpful & thorough. We highly recommend.

They did exactly what they stated they would every time and achieved what we all set out to achieve, multiple offers leading to a sale within a defined timeframe. have had a very frustrating experience with F&C. It appears that there is little respect for buyers after we’ve had a pretty bad experience with them. We tried to communicate about the potential for some land to be sold separately to a house, after a half an hour call with a very dismissive agent about all the reasons we couldn’t etc it appears he’s taken the idea and put up for sale without any discussion with us. The agents communication was appalling, so much so we will be very reluctant to buy a house through them for the fear they will drop us when a better offer comes along. Buyers beware!
