GoogleI promised Demi at GW that I would write this review after the help they gave us. Sadly, when we did not pick GW as estate agent for our sale, we made a huge mistake. The chosen agent (MH) procrastinated, fumbled and were generally unhelpful. Communication was shocking. We were so unhappy with that agent, but locked into a long contract, that we went to Demi for advice and help. She was lovely, and we actually had our property jointly listed with two potential viewings within 24 hours. If you're looking for competent, friendly and knowledgeable assistance - look no further than Demi and her lovely team in Stockton. A cut above other agencies in my experience. Thank you all.

GoogleBought a house and Gowland and white were the sellers agents. Very good to deal with, good at providing updates and thinking ahead of the process to ensure everything was in place and everyone in the chain was doing their bit. I even received a ‘new home’ gift which was a touch of class! Demi and the girls were really good. Both Stockton and Yarm branches were helpful in the sale, other agents I’ve used don’t seem to talk to each other like Gowland White do. If I ever need to sell I would use Gowland white. Thanks to everyone.

After a poor experience, and a wasted and frustrating few months trying to sell our late father's property through the local branch of a national Estate Agency chain, we decided to try a fresh approach. We are so glad that we did. Demi, Jodene, Magda, Nicola and all the support team were absolutely first class, from the initial visit, through the marketing process, and then successfully completing the sale. They were all helpful, friendly, and did everything they promised they would do promptly and efficiently. Communication was first rate, and they achieved a quick sale and our full asking price, thanks to their database of contacts, and effective marketing. It was really heartening to receive such a first rate service. We won't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends, and will certainly use them again ourselves should the opportunity arise.

At the beginning of the process all staff were extremely helpful and approachable, however as the sale of the property progressed I think they forgot that I was the client and paying the bill NOT the buyer of the property, moving day and several calls asking when I would be out of the property as it was no longer mine! This was prior to money completing being exchanged and key hand over.
Hello Haley, we are sorry you felt unhappy with the process on the day you were moving. I note your sale completed early during the morning and your Buyers were hoping to have the afternoon to move in but you were not ready for them to do so until late afternoon. We appreciate there is so much to do on moving day and a full morning to do this can be challenging however, your Buyers were within their rights to be chasing access during the course of the afternoon so that they could commence their moving in. This is generally standard on completion day. With regards to 'money completing' - Solicitors transfer any funds due to a Seller after completion and this isn't always the same day you complete, part of the process that is out of our control. We hope you have now settled into your new home and wish you the best for the future.

After a terrible experience with a previous estate agent I came to Gowland and White highly stressed and hoping for a quick sale so we didn’t lose another house we had put an offer in. Within 48 hours our home was listed with them and they gave us an incentive to use and trust them. The property was sold in less than a fortnight with the first viewer offering full asking price. They were not only helpful in selling the property, but they supported me through the whole process behind the scenes too. Keeping in regular contact, chasing both mine and the buyer’s solicitors for updates and pushing the sale through. They gave me advice throughout and advocated for me. I can’t recommend them enough, nor can I thank them for getting the sale so quickly so we haven’t lost our dream home!

I cannot recommend Gowland and White enough, From initial contact, to completion of house sale, we have experienced excellent customer care. All queries have been dealt with in an extremely efficient manner by the whole team at the Stockton Branch. I have used this estate agent some ten years ago and received the same care and attention. We will certainly use this agency again. Particular thanks to Demi for the guidance and accessibility she demonstrated through the whole process.
