Tells tradesmen the tenant has MH issues or is angry and difficult when for 2 years a kitchen needed repairing and it wasn't done, it ended up collapsing and leaking water over plug sockets causing the whole house to repeatedly trip. Blew up the oven, the fireplace, the lamp because of this issue. My children were terrified to even get a drink of water for fear of being electrocuted. 6 months like this. Got SBC involved.They were issued immediate safety repairs notice. We was then issued a retaliatory S21. We were told by the director of its so bad then why not just take your children and move. Like it's easy to pack up a house and find a new property in 2 months. Just because they broke their tenancy agreement as did the landlord. Slum agency representing slum landlords. Disgrace a tenant by getting the usual workmen to say they won't go there because of them being angry YET they refused all quotes from anyone who wasn't on their payroll of tradesmen. Which left nobody available, recordings of people stating were been told you have MH or are aggressive. Which I had to laugh at because of how disgusting it is. Filed with the ombudsman and sought a solicitor. Do NOT use this company. Absolutely take every penny and have no care or concern in the disrepair that you and especially children living in and paying to live in.

When choosing what estate agents we wanted to use to sell our house Gowland and White made this very easy by being very professional and polite and not pushy at all. Throughout the process of selling the house they remained very responsive to any enquiries always replying via email or phone calls the same day and helped both myself and my wife through the sale. We worked with Abby Metcalfe who I cannot recommend enough without her help and guidance we would’ve struggled to get through the sale she routinely went above and beyond what was expected of herself. We chose Gowland White for our house sale - the main reasons were the response to initial queries and the marketing materials. The service we received from the beginning was excellent - from the valuation and follow up, the viewings and offer and the process of the sale. Special mention should be made of Jodene Schofield who was extremely helpful in terms of advice and support. Due to issues further down the chain our house sale was tricky and frustrating at times, but this was in no way due to Gowland White. Jodene was proactive in ensuring progress was made with the sale and reassuring us that the matter was progressing. If Jodene was not available, the other staff were always helpful. Communication by telephone and email was very good. We would not hesitate to recommend Gowland White.

Terrible experience with this company. I hired them to manage my rental property, and they initially agreed to conduct quarterly inspections but struggled to complete even one in six months. After the tenancy ended, I decided to terminate the contract, only to be hit with an exorbitant severance fee and the threat of legal action. They also made frequent administrative errors and then unfairly held me responsible, adding interest to amounts they claimed I owed. This company lacks professionalism and compassion, an incredibly poorly managed business.
