Me and my girlfriend have just bought…

Me and my girlfriend have just bought our first house together. From having no knowledge or past experience of the process, we have relied on staff from Minors and Brady quite heavily to take us through the process. Jess has been most helpful in answering any question that we have asked her and has sorted a lot of things that we requested over the past couple of months. Not only Jess but all other staff we have dealt with from Minors and Brady have been excellent in their service. The person (unfortunately can’t remember his name) who showed us round the house when we first viewed it was incredibly helpful and convinced us to put an offer in which is the best decision we’ve made and when we popped into the Dereham branch the other day, Kyle was good enough to check over all the paperwork/contracts we had to send off to our solicitor even though it’s not his role or responsibility to do but he made us feel confident that we hadn’t missed anything out.

Hard working and determined team

It was our second time that we used Minors and Brady in the last 3 years and they been amazing. Sold our flat in the first viewing and in just less then 3 months we completed .Nagilla was the person I was dealing with she was amazing. Always chased things up and even when the soldiers where taking their time she would give them a knodge and keep them moving forward.I won't be definitely looking for any other estate agents when I am going to be selling my next property. Sold our house in less than a week!

We were highly recommended to use Minors and Brady by some friends and we are beyond pleased we did. From the initial meeting, valuation, photos, sale process to now the after care phase they have been faultless. Connie has been superb with regular communication and updates and flexible to our working hours and demands. Our house has sold in under a week and we truly believe it is down to their excellent work, highly professional photos and efficient communication. They do come with slightly higher cost but this is, in our opinion, completely worth it for all the above reasons! Thanks to all the team at Minors and Brady!

Generally quite underwhelming.

We bought a small bungalow for my father with M&B Lowestoft and then therefore decided to engage them to sell the main family house. As a buyer, the experience was fair. As a seller, on the whole, we found the experience quite underwhelming and somewhat regretted the decision (by the looks of other reviews, we had similar issues as those reviews from the more detailed reviews that aren't 5-stars).The valuation and initial engagements with Henry were very positive. Good start.The first few viewings were conducted by a lad that really couldn’t care less about the particulars of the property or its key selling points, and whose sole purpose was to open the door and let viewers in. We had to rewrite a lot of the marketing material ourselves as it sounded like it was written by ChatGPT with parts that were plain incorrect and misleading (e.g. “wheelchair friendly” but there are major steps in and out, narrow hallway, and a staircase to the first floor!). Several iterations were required back-and-forth and I wondered what our agency fee actually covered. Photographer turned up on wrong day and took lots of photos with the house looking very untidy, which were then put into the marketing material (luckily these never made it into the market as new photos were eventually taken). One-on-one engagements with the team were generally pleasant, particularly when booking viewings. However the whole office shares responsibility for all sales which means there is no “go-to” person for your property. This might be efficient for them but it’s not great for customer experience and you end up repeating a lot of information with every person you speak to and not building a trusted relationship with anyone. We were pushed quite hard to accept a very low offer (even when taking into account the soft market) but were not in a rush to sell. It would have been good to get advice, from experts, on how to improve appeal rather than being advised to just keep dropping price. We were misled into believing that our buyer was chain free, whereas we were actually at the top of a four-property chain! When asked several times why they’d said this to us, they avoided our question which, for us, was an admission of guilt.Post-offer there was no proper handover and our enquiries went unanswered until we figured out that we were now in the hands of the after-sales team (the only time there was a nominated person, yet we weren’t told). No post completion engagement either, just an email to the conveyancer confirming their fee.We appreciate it's not a frothy market like previous years but, with so many agents in the market, that means even greater attention is needed on good customer experience, which costs very little.My advice to potential clients would be to use recommendations from friends. I am quite surprised by all the short, positive 5-star reviews from accounts with only 1 or 2 reviews conveniently naming specific people(!), as these did not match my experience.

Viewings were carried out in a very professional manner. Feed back from the team came very soon after viewings. 2024: I've used Minors and Brady since 2020 for sales and now liaise with them regularly for the ongoing letting of my property. During my most recent tenant transition, Beth L was very on the ball to secure my new tenant in just under a week after my previous tenant handed in their notice. She communicated and negotiated efficiently with all contacts, and kept me informed regularly with the progress - thank you Beth! Also a big thank you on the admin side with prompt daily responses from both Lexi M and Samuel C. It's clear that Lexi is a knowledgeable and highly competent Property Manager when it comes to routine inspections, rental statements, legal documents and she can always answer any of my queries with clear certainty. Samuel continued to keep me informed during the lettings admin process, including amendments required in the tenancy agreement, deposit disclosure, prompt communication with the upcoming prospective tenants with regards to their queries to ensure a smooth transition - overall he acted a great medium throughout with all important communications giving peace of mind as landlord. Thanks again all! 2020: As a first time buyer, I was amazed with how quickly my sale went through with my Minors & Brady's point of contact, Brooke Kelly. After lots of admin going back and forth, she did everything in the best possible way to make this a minimal stress experience. She kept me up-to-date with the latest progress of my sale, and the agency in general is so 'on it' with keeping in contact and returning calls at times of extreme pressure. They organised appropriate viewings, kept us informed and gave us honest feedback. They reassured us when things didn't quite go to plan and didn't put us under pressure. Claire was our after-sales contact and she could not have been more helpful. She was professional and understanding and we felt she had our best interests in her mind throughout the process.
