I can't quite put into words how helpful, supportive and patient Alex has been. He was my contact at every step of the way and went over and above to ensure we got to the point of exchange. I genuinely don't think the transaction would have happened without his input. Don't look elsewhere, SJ Smiths are most certainly the best Estate Agents in Staines. I'll be eternally grateful Alex!

Stay clear!!! Completely unprofessional. They don’t keep you as a tenant or your landlord up to date at all. Took them 2 months to inform our landlord we had put our notice in!! Didn’t receive an inventory check when we moved in (conveniently don’t have one after one of their team were the previous tenant). Currently having to go through legal teams to get our deposit back from them as they are trying to charge £550 for a professional clean!!! Absolute joke!! Never pick up their phones, when they do they are rude and tell you they will call back which they never do!!

Excellent service from Amir and Alannah at the Staines office. We had to sell my parents property recently and I cannot recommend these agents highly enough. From the start, Amir kept his word and I was always able to get hold of him if I needed to - something that hasn't always happened in the past. Easiest sale ever - I handed over the keys to Amir and Alannah and they took care of everything else! An Open Day was arranged and the house was sold within 2 days of this. Best of all, I did not have to take time out to conduct viewings etc, which was a blessing as I don't live locally, so would have meant making a special journey each time. I would not hesitate to use or recommend SJ Smith again - very refreshing to trust an estate agent completely!

Very unprofessional estate agents. I would avoid going to these amateurs at all cost. They pressured us into paying the deposit and 6 months rent up front even before the tenancy agreement was signed by all parties. We warned them that the property was up for sale at the same time it was being advertised as a rental. They assured us there would be no issues. Lo and behold, 5 weeks later, the landlord decides he doesn't want renters in the house (that's what we were told - I didn't believe a word they were saying tbh). The whole thing fell through and we were left with nowhere to live! My wife is 7 months pregnant and we have an 18 month old toddler - no one seemed to care or apologise for the incident. Avoid!

Simon has created a great team that is next to none in Staines! It is worth mentioning all his team members who helped us go through the stressful process of selling a house, made worse by the pandemic. Simon himself was very honest and open about his valuation of our property and with his deep knowledge of the local residential property market, gave us the confidence to take the first step to market the property. Alannah with her excellent photographic skills brought forward the best of the property in both the brochure and online portals. We received 2 offers from the first 4 viewings! Christy was very calm and pleasant while conducting the viewings. It wasn't all smooth sailing after that as it took a very long time to exchange contracts and complete due to the uncertainty thrown in by the pandemic. We recently bought our dream house through SJ Smith, the agency has been fantastic from start to finish. We were first time buyers and were struggling to find anywhere we liked and a lot of the other agencies were difficult to deal with. All the staff at SJ Smith really went the extra mile, from arranging viewings, finding properties to suit us, helping us put an offer on the house, to supporting us through the whole mortgage, surveyor and solicitor process. They always took the time to explain the different stages and help us whenever they could. Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to exchange so efficiently (even beating stamp duty!).
