GoogleAfter spending thousands improving the property (including a summerhouse, new decking and a lot more), we were granted public housing as the council viewed the property and said it was unsuitable (it's a converted garage), we informed Park Lane and at that same time I was rushed into hospital. The walls were in a poor state when we moved in so I had rubbed them down and painted them with a slight textured internal paint to disguise the remaining lumps. Despite the fact that I could do nothing, Park Lane insisted that the property "be returned in its original condition". My wife asked for them to be sympathetic due to our illnesses and that I was in hospital. They responded by hassling my wife and by sending us a bill for £1201. Our deposit was £1200, so they kept the lot! Having dealt with Park Lane in the past, we assumed it was run by the same, nice management team. It is not! Beware this company is now a bunch of thieves in my opinion, stay well clear. And when you read how nice a certain individual is on these reviews, don't be fooled, he comes across as a nice guy, but believe me, from our experience he most certainly is not!

This review is inaccurate and we wish to clarify the following:
We weren’t contacted as to how/why the property had become unsuitable for Mrs Green prior to confirmation that it was being vacated.
Photos taken at move-in show the property’s excellent condition. We also retain details of all the work necessary once the property was vacated in order to return it to this state.
In line with standard practice, we do not permit garden landscaping or re-decoration without prior written agreement. We communicate this clearly with all our tenants and it is stated in The Park Lane Group property manual provided on move-in and available for anyone to view at any time on our website.
Without our knowledge, the following changes were made to the property:
- internal magnolia walls re-painted with brown and dark red paint and an exterior, rough-textured masonry paint used in places
- electrical hazard was created via the removal of a socket and installation of 4 x 4-gang extensions from this single point
- a storage unit was made from 4x2 and installed, concealing the above-mentioned electrics, causing damage to the skirting and wall surfaces and removal of a storage heater
- sheds and decking were erected in the garden
We requested the property be returned to its original condition as per the terms of the signed tenancy agreement in place and standard practice. We had no option but to carry out repairs and re-decorating to be able to re-let the property incurring more cost than the deposit amount. At no time whatsoever did we ‘hassle’ anyone.

GoogleI have recently moved into a rental property after selling my house. I contacted Mark Nash at Park Lane after being recommended him by my cousin who rents from Park Lane herself. I told him what sort of property I was looking for for myself and my 2 children. He took my details and contacted me a couple of months later when a suitable property became available. I viewed the following day and moved in around a month later. I found the service from Mark amazing and he was very understanding with the dates for me to move in as I needed to complete on my current property first. He really listened to my circumstances and I didn’t just feel like a number! He regularly kept in contact throughout and always said if I didn’t understand any of the forms etc I could just pick up the phone to him.
Since moving in I have had a couple of minor issues as the house had been vacant for sometime. I contacted Mark and these issues were resolved promptly!

GoogleRented from them many years ago. The tenant upstairs was supposed to be there with her baby. But the boyfriend was also living there and they would fight all the time noise was terrible. I complained but nothing was done about it. I was offered the flat above the park lane offices which i looked at and said ok if it was painted and repairs done they agreed. So 2 weeks later i was given the keys to move in so i took all my stuff from there other flat and went to the new flat i walked in and nothing had been done.I was told they would paint round me once i moved in. So i give both flat keys back and moved back to Newcastle. I can say if you are going to deal with any one at park lane talk to Mark Nash he was very helpful

GoogleThis company is trash, they move you in to the property then forget about you. They put my wife through hell, I had to deal with them to help her out. They were unhelpful and blatantly lied to us. Just look at the other reviews, they have told people to remove reviews and tried to discredit them by saying they never rented property from Park Lane. Also the one good review from this Julie Bennett seems false, its the only activity on her profile and she is a part of their group. Do not rent from Park Lane!
