Myself and my husband called the park lane group office and asked if there was any properties to rent in Hastings, they said not at the moment but took our details and said they would call us if anything was to come up. We then registered our interest online for when properties did come up this automatically sent an email to Mark Nash which the next day he replied very quickly and that's when we told us there is a property coming up within the next few days. That same week Mark got us into the house to look around and everything went to quick from there. There was some damage to the property but this was fixed and done before we moved in. The process only took around 2 weeks and we was moved in and settled within a few weeks. Any questions we had Mark was there to answer these and he is still in contact with us at present. Being our first time moving out he supported us very well. When we met Mark to collect the keys he wasn't in a rush to get off he was very friendly and could have a normal friendly conversation with him. When got the keys Mark showed us around. showed us how everything worked and if we had any questions. We are very pleased with our house. if your looking for a property i would 100% recommend the park lane group and also ask for Mark, he is very responsive and answers any questions you have. I have had a Park Lane house built and moved in within the last 6 months. I thought i would leave 6 months grace period for a proper and accurate review so here goes: Sales: Really are the highlight of this company. Every encounter i have had with sales has been terrific. Amy and Katy were both brilliant at all times. I had problems that may of jeopardized my purchase but their efficiency and dedication to me were faultless. The site: We initially were the 2nd of 14 to move into the development so lived on effectively a building site. The occasional swear word was heard from the builders but the site manager (Colin) at the time was excellent. He accommodated everything we asked and put a lot of our minor problems to bed within hours. The biggest problem on the development was drainage. The gardens were flooded a lot and Park Lane initially refused to accept the poor groundwork but after 5 months- additional drainage was put in. When the drive/road was being laid - the tradesman told us he didn't really know what he was doing as it was his first time - but its actually rather good so this comment i will take tongue in cheek. The house: OK for the first 6 months. I had a leak above my kitchen where pipes were loose (a few have on the development) but it was resolved with 2 days with emergency tradesmen so no real problem. I have had really creaky floorboards that were fixed in the first instance but are back again. The rear patio needs completely re-setting as did the surrounding areas like the alleyway as most paving slabs came loose (my 5yo son tripped on these and required stitches in his head). I was also told by Park Lane that i could not loft board my own house as it will void any warranty on the ceilings?? The internal appliances are OK - no problems other than the initial wiring done to wrong switches - but this was rectified very quickly. Some windows have locks and some don't - rather strange like the window handles were chosen by someone with their eyes closed but it doesn't affect their use. Aftercare: Absolutely terrible. The team you contact for problems are non responsive. When i have had tradespersons come to the house (to partially fix paving slabs) they have been unprofessional and left cigarette butts in the alley. The plumbers were excellent. The groundswork team were also very good, specifically the shed people. The floorboard people didn't really know what he was doing it seems - having to ask for a second opinion and sporadically hammering nails. This is probably why the problem has re-occurred. He also left the carpet loose after he lifted it and never came back to fix it, i had to do it myself. The gardens told me that all the plants were not there that were ordered but never came to uplift the landscape design. Still missing trees from the landscape design To sum it up - i would be likely to recommend Park Lane because of the experience with Sales and the overall quality of the house. They let themselves down with terrible aftercare and hiring poor tradesmen.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

The sales team have been great throughout the whole process. They ensured everything went very smoothly from my first viewing to moving in, nothing too much trouble. The quality of the build is very high much better than other new developments I've seen. Aftercare has been excellent and very responsive to any help I've needed and ensured everything in the home is perfect no matter how small the request. Any contractors have been polite, high quality and professional. Couldn't recommend enough. Great team.

The WORST company I have ever rented a property from. Property maintenance nearly non-existent; roof left leaking for two years, windows in such poor state of repair as to be useless. Complaints were ignored, promises not kept and laws blatantly broken; my property was entered without permission on a number of occasions. This has been an enormous source of stress and I can safely say I will never rent another property from them in my life and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Despite both of us working, we had to jump through hoops and give a higher then normal deposit for a flat. Yet there was no problem with allowing a jobless drug dealer to move into the flat above us, keeping our daughter awake with noisy parties, us even having to involve the police numerous times when threatened with violence. We reported all this to the land lord with no action. When we moved, despite cleaning and RE-painting the flat to get our deposit back, they tried to keep a portion of our deposit without inspecting the flat first to see its condition. Happiest day ever when we moved out and were no longer tied to these land lords.
