My wife and I live in a rented apartment in Edinburgh. We got into this via DJ Alexander. The process was seamless and swift. It's been two years now, and the team DJ Alexander, makes sure that everything remains up to standard. Our maintenance calls were answered and addressed very quickly. A special mention goes to Natalia Piekarska, our property manager, for her wonderful support and being super professional during house inspection.A very happy customer!

I would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation towards Laura Mctaggart who helped us in every way possible for us to be able to rent a property here at Edinburgh. She has been extremely responsive and has been following up with us from time to time. Really appreciate her effort in explaining everything in detail to us. This is our first visit to the UK hence, it took us some time to be able to rent a place(16 days to be exact) which I wished could have been sped up as my husband had to put up in a budget hotel during this time due to his work there whilst me and the kids stayed at our relatives house in Manchester.Nevertheless, we have finally signed the tenancy agreement and will be moving to our new home tomorrow! Thank you again Laura for making this possible.

Brilliant letting agency . I rent a property and found them to be very helpful and kind especially Diane Harte. She was very helpful and patient. I do recommend them. Although we had sone issues with the deposit we I end my tenancy due to COVID-19 but They try to resolve them and offer some solutions.

Evie, the property manager, provided care, concern, and essential speed in showing and corresponding about the property. She was flexible and paid consistent and persistent attention to my requests concerning the tenancy application and agreement terms. The application advisors, Gill and Finlay, were equally informative and considerate of my time and concerns during the tenant application process. Yasser gave good advise on how to approach selling the flat . Identified a buyer quickly and responded quickly and proactively to any questions. He worked well with the Alexander leasing department (who managed my flat) and made this a painless experience in terms of ensuring all basis were covered . The moving-in procedure is quick and fluent. The property manager Sophie, Chloe and Scott helped a lot throughout the way. In addition, every feedback would be attached importance here! After moving-in, we found some problem with the boiler and reported to DJ, they manage the check and repair stuff immediately. Thanks a lot to such a supportive team!

The biggest challenge in dealing with DJ Alexander is getting any emergency repair and maintenance, as no one is available to talk. You have to report it to the online system and then wait for their response.Today, in the middle of the day, we found that the gas hob was sparking continuously and reported immediately, as we could not cook. The same electric switch is for the oven as well and can’t keep it on due to safety. Now it is 5:30 pm and still did not get any response. Basically, I am afraid of the future if any serious emergency occurs other than this oven and hob issue! I can’t think of it!!Contacted the owner; we were told to contact DJ Alexander. Fair enough and can’t fault the owner. Given this experience, I would prefer to rent directly from the owner rather than from a commercial agent. At least we will get some support in the event of emergencies.

We have recently moved to Edinburgh and the timing to arrive couldn't have been more wrong, with all lettings agents and viewing closed during the Christmas and the New year period. But we did managed to view a few, one of which was from DJ Alexander. While this was shortlisted and blocked for us, the majority of the work done by Laura Mctaggart, the credit check, the documentation part etc , in a matter of "1" single day, was nothing short of an unbelievable experience. I have had my set of experiences with other letting agents across the UK, but nothing like this before. Laura Mctaggart had been a true professional and we sincerely appreciate her efforts to ensure we have a smooth transition our new apartment. Really appreciate how skilfully & capably our paperwork was handled and completed. Also big thanks to Giulia too, for bearing us during the Christmas period and helping us to complete the viewing. A wonderful soul herself :) Great assets for DJA. Thanks Guys, any amount of gratitude mentioned here wouldn't be enough ! Have a good one :)

I have used DJ Alexander for a number of years to manage tenancies in my Edinburgh flat and find them very proficient and reliable. They are well organised with a single point of contact from the landlord’s point of view and any issues that arise from both tenant and landlord are swiftly dealt with. They keep on top of all the legislative requirements involved in letting a property (gas cert, legionella test, electrical condition tests, Pat tests, etc). They have a property maintenance facility which can be deployed to fix small problems at short notice.Their billing / accounting system works well and is easily understood.Staff are very approachable and seem happy in their work which makes me think they’re good to work for too.
