Amber Moyes was very professional and Helpful!

I was on call with Ms. Amber Moyes, to help in scheduling viewings for properties. She was very helpful and kind, answering all my questions and explaining the renting process here, and provided good tips on when to call in case of viewing cancellations for other properties. I had 7 properties I wanted to book viewings for, which I was worried would be overwhelming, but Amber was very understanding and patient, and we went through each one to find viewing times to attend. Excellent customer service!

I called today to get some help on viewings for rentals in Edinburgh. This September I’ll be starting my masters at the university but I live in England so it is rather stressful at the moment trying to find accommodation in Edinburgh. Amber was very reassuring on the phone and did all she could to help, even arranging virtual viewings and checking several properties availability. I also emailed after our call with a question and she was very quick to respond and very helpful. Thank you again to Amber.

Avoid their Aberdeen office that was Stonehouse Letting. Their business practices verge on the fraudulent . Repairs to property still outstanding after 18 months. Property in an unrentable condition. Calls never returned, emails never replied to. Assurances of 'taking care of it personally' by management used to defer the problem - never even looked at my file. Change of name to hide under the DJ Alexander brand unlikely to improve things. And emails and phone calls to A Merchant don't improve things

Caroline was just AMAZING

Caroline was just AMAZING as an agent: showed me around, took negotiations on some furniture decisions with the landlady and closed the deal for us in a week from viewing to contract signed. I am very happy with how smooth all the process was, was expecting much more difficulties on my way to my first Glasgow rent. Caroline’s caring and friendly attitude also was a gift.

A Very Welcoming Flat Viewing

During my search for a flat to rent I worked with several agencies that serve Glasgow City. I was most impressed with DJ Alexander. Their selection was excellent, the required security deposits are low, and all the people who work for DJ Alexander were always friendly and professional. I was especially pleased by the viewing I did with Caroline Connelly. She was friendly and professional and provided me with all the information I needed about the flat. She was also prompt and personable with the follow-up communication. It turned out that the flat she showed me was my second favourite and I went with a flat that I rented directly from the landlord. And here's the little thing that impressed me the most. When I sent a polite and friendly letter thanking Caroline for her time but letting her know that I would not be applying for the flat, unlike any other agent I worked with she didn't just disappear. Instead she sent me a gracious reply and I really appreciated that. Both landlords and renters want to be treated with kindness and like human beings and that's exactly how I was treated by Caroline at DJ Alexander. And that's why if I'm in the rental property market again I will turn to DJ Alexander first.

Unresponsive letting agent

Since DJ Alexander bought out the letting agency that I have used for the last decade, the service I have received as a landlord has deteriorated from better than satisfactory to poor. While individual members of staff that I have dealt with have been helpful and courteous, the company's team-oriented organisation means that it is hard to know who to deal with, and no one takes responsibility for resolving issues that I raise about the service I am receiving. I rarely receive replies to emails, leaving a backlog of unresolved matters to accumulate that is causing stress and dissatisfaction.My impression is that DJ Alexander has far more clients to service than it has staff to cope.

Great service and guided us through hiccups!

We sold our city centre flat with DJ this summer, with Sarah McIntyre leading the sale. We had our offer on a new place accepted on a Monday and DJs managed to get us on the market by the end of the week which was amazing. We then accepted a verbal offer by the following Friday. Unfortunately this person then delayed and eventually withdrew their offer but thankfully Sarah did a great job keeping other interested parties in the loop whilst we were awaiting the outcome and we were able to set a successful closing date the following week. Unfortunately the successful bidder later renegotiated their price due to a Buy-To-Let mortgage valuation but again Sarah handled all the communication brilliantly and despite the potential stress we felt very well taken care of. The sale was finally complete at the end of Sept and we wouldn't hesitate to use Sarah & DJs again, thanks!
