Terrible agent

Terrible agent! I requested a refund because I mistakenly paid my rent twice when trying to sort my standing order I rang all last week to get it sorted and all I was getting back was we will sort this as soon as possible. When I rang at the end of last week on Friday the woman said I don't see any action being taken so nobody did anything! She sorted it all out for me and told me should be in my account on Monday meaning today so I rang to make sure and they said yes it will be in my account after 4pm which was great. I just got a email saying it will he in my account in 3-5 working days. The place needs shutting down can't manage anything.

Bad news

We thought we were just getting a valuation of our house but they conned my husband into signing up with them with a 14 day cool off period which I did when I saw what he had signed for. We have been hassled by them ever since and after 3 months have received emails from premier property why haven't we signed papers to sell our house as connells didnt cancel our 14 day cooling off period. Lack of communication or tactics not sure which but dont trust them they are con artists just interested in selling your house. Dont be conned they are very believable

They only reply to you when it's in their advantage. They only reply if THEY need something from you. If you have any enquieries and want to speak to someone..good luck. Tried calling the agency 15 times in a single day, sent multiple emails, no reply, only for them to send me an email days later telling me that my rent is increasing HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Awful estate agents and made the…

Awful estate agents and made the experience of buying a first home an awful one. I viewed a property twice and made an offer. During the first viewing, everything was fine. Second viewing they complained that the agent showing me around had to be at another appointment 15 minutes after mine. They do not communicate with each other, they fail to reply to emails and fail to answer the phone. I pulled my offer in the end and the reply I got was a demand to increase my offer. Will not be dealing with them again.

Such an unethical estate agent

Such an unethical estate agent! They practically force genuine buyers to use their Mortgage advisor, Conveyancing service to put an offer through, even when we had our Agreement in Principle Certificate sorted, our own solicitor/notary for many years and proof of funds available. This is the first time an estate agent acts in such a disgraceful and arrogant manner. Michael Rye, the manager in Connell Southbourne, demonstrated a very unprofessional attitude and breached our confidentiality rights, which is now being reported to ICO. Disgraceful experience and nasty service.

Birmingham Kings Heath branch- not impressed

Birmingham Kings Heath branch- I was shown an apartment with indicative price 160K, liked it and gave an offer of 164K. got a call back and was told by Joanne that vendor actually wants 165K. agreed. a week later got a call from Aaron, 'giving me a chance to increase' cause someone else is offering more. This property wasn't posted as an 'auction'. Feeling upset not been told that the price is actually 165K and over. Wasted my time and very not impressed with this sneaky communication. it's a shame!

Low level of care, rude agents

Just phoned, Luton branch, and the guy who answered could not deal with my question, telling me they are 5 minutes before closing and there is another phone calling. Extremely rude person. Also lost a properry because they did not allow me to see and put an offer, only because I have to go through their mortgage adviser. I only have an agreement in pinciple from another mortgage adviser. This is against free comerce. You cannot force me to go with your mortgage adviser! I would never call you again, but the problem is that you may have a house that I would like to buy. I feel discussed that I have to accept such behaviour and on top of this, you will get sale commissions from it.

Buying a house in Cambourne

Buying a house in CambourneWas buying a house offered by connells cambourne, overall experience is not very good, but not totally bad that why I am giving 2 starsThey were trying to push us to use their services, mortgage advisor and solicitors, which we didn't, so they became a bit rude to us especially the mortgage advisor who was very rude.First agent wasn't really helpful at the start, kept shutting down our questions and requests, we knew nothing about the house and they were trying to help the owner hide any flaws in the house to complete the sale, which isn't professional or right. Was lucky to get a relatively good agent from connells by the end of the sale, but didn't really help fix the mistakes done during the start. If you are a buyer and had to deal with them, don't use their services. Also keep on the pressure to know everything or walk away, it is not worth it to buy a house if the seller and his estate agent are going to lie to you.

Very disappointed with their service. I was told of a flat rate but the invoice and small print reflected differently. I would not recommend employing their services.

Very disappointed with their inconsistent service.

ACTUALLY THINK ITS ILLEGAL

ACTUALLY THINK ITS ILLEGAL Had an offer excepted on a connells property but won’t use their financial services only to get a call to say the vendor no longer wants to sell was a little disappointed but thought nothing of it. Put an offer on a different property ( coincidentally another connells) this time before they said if the offer had been excepted they call me and in other words said if we don’t use their financial services we have no chance of buying the house. Because the house was only around the corner I went and spoke to the vendor who informed me they hadn’t received my offer and had taken a lower one but the buyer was using connells financial services! On the way home stopped at the first property that connells had said we’re no longer interested in selling only to find out that the vendor was told we had pulled out and we’re advised to take an alternative offer which transpired was £5000 less but surprise surprise the new buyer was using connells financial services! Obviously the vendor was not pleased! So connells not only use illegal practices against the buyer but also their own clients!

Disgraceful company

Disgraceful company, mortgage company used these to value the house, valuer was obnoxious, rude and arrogantHe falsy claimed there was a backhander going on with the deal to buy the house, mortgage company backed out of the deal, i lost significant money on solicitors fees. Formal complaint in progress with the mortgage company but issues all born from this disgrace of a company. Happy to share emails and expenses.. Would avoid them at all costs0Thankfully secured a new deal and now all going through. If ur having a valuation from these, steer well clear

Connels valuation

Connels de-valuated my new build flat for 40k under the asking price. I went to barclays and successfully passed their checks and their valuation was the same day and it was positive.Connels do not have any process or any policies in place for new build homes as they solely rely on an EWS1 form. The bigger banks such as barclays can accept a comfort letter. In addition connels took 3 months to valuate the new build flat whereas barclays took 1 day.My advice is to avoid connels on new build flats where you can as they have no policies or procedures in place to deal with new build properties.

Absolute shambles of a company

Absolute shambles of a company. Wasted our time, fuel and Toll fees after not showing up to an arranged appointment with a round trip of 76 miles and four hours.Staff member we spoke to quickly blamed her colleague after arguing with me that it was "Not our fault".We did put in an official complaint, and were firstly offered £30 compensation, which we refused, this was then raised to £50 which we accepted just to see the end of them.We are still waiting for that £50 - 21 days later, and have now been told it will be another 28 days !!I dread to think how this disorganised office manage to sell property, I would think twice if I were you - rude, incompetent, childish staff and unprofessional.

Worst agent and didn’t even attend the property

We scheduled to arrange a lettings valuation and the agent just didn’t show up , no explanation as to why and when I phoned the gentleman on the phone didn’t even apologise on behalf of his colleague claimed he was on annual leave and a manager would phone me I asked that they don’t call me early morning and the manager who does valuations is actually off the day they were suppose to attend , there is no notes or discussion on the system of the property. I am shocked this agent gets any business at all. Considering landlords pay a fee once marketed ?

Market Harborough branch Absolutely…

Market Harborough branch Absolutely awful! We where ignored, lied to and lead on. After 2 attempts of calling to view the property we wanted to view, with no reply to messages left, on the 3rd go we finally had a viewing arranged. We liked it the house put an offer in stressing our urgency, 5 weeks later after agreeing a deal, we got nowhere, no paperwork NOTHING!After weeks of chasing them and being told lie after lie we finally walked away. They don’t reply to emails, the manager was extremely rude, and when we finally told them we where walking away, no email reply, no phone call to apologise.AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL how they are in business I have no idea.

Avoid in buying a property

For anyone interested in buying any property with Connell estate agency, don’t. I’ve been put on a list that apparently “expires after 10 days” for a property I wanted to view for the last two weeks. I called on the first week to see if I can view it yet but couldn’t as apparently they were “shielding” which is understandable. I called after the 10 days to be put back on the list to view it on the second week. When I called they already done all the viewings and that “suddenly” I disappeared off the list. I asked them to check both of them but their response back was that I wasn’t put down. Then denied all knowledge of me ringing when I have the call logs and emails. So if you’re considering this company, think twice before you do.

I would give 0 stars if possible

I would give 0 stars if possible. Wanted to book the viewing, the lady said they already have the offers and didn’t even let me to make my offer. After I spoke with the seller myself, she said that she even didn’t mention about my offer. By the end of the day, I was made over asking price offer but it was still refused. I assume that their staff just lazy and don’t wanna to make any sells. I would definitely avoid this agency in the future.

Basingstoke

Basingstoke: unprofessional and absolutely uninterested! They are the kings of excuses! As you can see the majority of the reviews are negative it speaks volumes! Because there is no regulation in this country anyone can do whatever they want if they pay for it! Absolutely disgusting! Pure robbery and racket subsidised by power and law…
