GoogleA great all round experiance as first time buyers; from viewing our flat, getting our mortgage sorted and finally getting our keys! GoogleLettings branch is appalling from tenants perspective: * ignoring e-mails * promising things that they don't intend to do * requires constant chasing up and calling * never get a straight answer * in general when dealing with them is very unpleasant The landlord has contacted the agency 2 weeks ago now, asking for a deposit release. Since then I have called a number of times and sent several e-mails. All the e-mails are ignored, and the phone calls end up with "the responsible person is out of office, we will call you back".

GoogleI have used Connells in St. Albans over many years to buy and sell homes. I have always found their service to be very professional and of the highest standard all times. Doug Guerrier has normally been my first point of contact and although his staff have generally taken over the the transaction after instructions have been given, Doug has always kept an eye on progress. Along with Doug's many years of experience his advice has always been very helpful. I would certainly recommend Connells to any potential seller or purchaser in St Albans.

Doug Guerrier leads a fantastic office and has been most generous with his advice over the years to myself and others I have recommended to them. We have bought and sold houses through Connells on more than one occasion and have been very happy with the service. Doug has away tried to achieve the best price for us within the market conditions and has always served us well. I would certainly recommend Connells.

I have used Connells 4 times and both bought and sold with the Chequer Street office. Doug takes his business very personally and is considered by me to be one of the good guys. I work in the marketing department of a large corporate banking firm and know a good agent from a bad one. CONNELLS ARE THE GOOD ONE - hardworking and ethical. Doug always rises to the challenge and works very hard not just to meet expectations but to exceed them. I used to find that challenging Doug worked, now I simply pick up the phone for straight forward advice with no flannel - I always recommend Connells as I get the personal approach, I am not just another customer but a customer that counts. I personally recommend Connells St. Albans, reasonable fees, great service and a can do approach works for me every time.

GoogleDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are complete conmen. I got my house valued by Luke (who is now the Hemel Manager) he quoted a competitive price and negotiated a 1.25% sale fee, which I agreed. He then popped back to my house hours later, only to have my partner signed their terms of business at a rate of 1.5% fee. With the VAT this led to an increase of £1,200 that he stole from us. After I challenged him on this, he said that there was nothing that he could do as that is what my partner signed. I took my house off the market immediately and told him never to contact me again. He then called back 3 days later with an apology and told me that it would be 1.25%. After we completed my solicitor informed me that we had been billed for 1.5%. I was absolutely fuming and vowed never to use or recommend this company ever again until the stolen money is return. I strongly urge you to consider using other more reputable companies in St Albans to sell your house. If you are to come across Luke, avoid like the plague unless you want to be the victim of theft. GoogleI have known Doug for a number of years and have benefited from his vast property experience and knowledge in St.Albans. I have always found him and his team to be very professional offering excellent service. More recently I have utilised the services of the lettings team in Chequer Street and found Kirsty and Shannon to be very helpful and attentive. I would have no issues recommending Connells for property sales, purchase or lettings.

Great team at St Alban's office. I sold my flat with them recently that had several complexities. The team were super helpful and really motivated with potential buyers constantly been shown round. Communication was clear and frequent, can't rate them highly enough Great COVID safe setup as well for viewings
