I can not give enough praise to Collinson Hall, especially Alicia! I came in unsure of how everything worked and Alicia sat me down and said don’t worry we will get you and your family a home, and a few weeks later here we are moving into our new home, and it’s all thanks to Alicia and Sam! The Lettings team at Collinson Hall were wonderful to work with. I contacted Sam and her team on a Friday morning about a property I was interested in, they arranged a viewing for the Saturday morning, had a proposal submission form emailed to me one hour after my viewing and an email on the Monday afternoon to say my offer had been accepted. Unfortunately, feel the need to edit this review. After flawless service and communication between the estate agents and myself prior to signing the tenancy. Things have not gone as well since. It would seem once the commission has been made that the level of service has dropped significantly. The person preforming the inventory could not tell me where the property meters were and gave us the wrong information which has resulted in a financial loss for us. Whenever I have emailed about queries to the appropriate person I have been ignored regularly. I have to send multiple prompts and reminders/phone calls in order to get any kind of response. I have been more than helpful and polite when speaking to staff and explained my frustrations for them to again be ignored. There is a clear lack of attention to detail, which is something I would have thought would be a priority within this field. I have been made to feel like a nuisance whenever I have requested information sent over or actions to be taken. For example arranging for the boiler to be fixed, not being sent the inventory, answers to simple questions, information about the gas and electric suppliers (that we were told we are not able to change) to following up on sending someone over to sort issues. Massively disappointed with the service. I was prompted to write a review once the contract was signed and was happy to at that time however that was not a representation of the true quality of the company in my personal experience.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

I had the most wonderful experience with Collinson hall and specifically Samantha Hodge. Samantha is honest, kind, positive and just wonderful. When I began my search, I realized there is a new culture these days, where agents try to get tenants to bid higher than the asking price for a rental. I find this unethical and so disturbing. I am a single mother with two kids and I need a home. I don’t want to be in a rat race to find a home for my children. I want an agent who cares and that was Samantha. Samantha got me a beautiful home when my kids can stay and be happy for a long time. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. You are the BEST!

Recently we sold our beloved house through Collinson Hall, St Albans, which we had lived in for many years and was the first home for our two children. Honestly speaking it was not the easiest of houses to sell. However my main compliment to the team at Collinson Hall was they had the determination to carry on with the sale and always had plenty of viewers to see our property, they never wanted to give up. This is especially important in an area such as Harpenden / St Albans when competition for property is very competitive, especially when you have a set budget. There is no doubt selling and buying houses is a stressful time, however they were always patient and extremely polite to deal with, in times of stress ! and always had a plan B; which goes to show they have an excellent sales strategy. I wholly recommend Collinson Hall, they are very professional, great to deal with and very sincere, this imperative as they are leading and part responsible for the sale of your biggest asset. Following a bad experience with an estate agent in Park Street, we decided to work with Collinsons - and what a difference ! Having wasted a year with the first agent, I was pleasantly surprised when I met Ron. Not only was he sympathetic and sensitive - it was my deceased mums home we were selling, he assured me excellent marketing, and used a professional photographer who showed the house at its best. We had an offer on the second viewing - after approx 2 weeks - a serious purchaser who is moving in this Friday. From initial meeting with Ron to the exchange of contracts Ron and his team have been fantastic. Always keeping us informed and assisting with negotiation. A Renter’s Nightmare

A Renter’s Nightmare My nightmare began just six months into my tenancy agreement. What started as a small roof leak, which I immediately reported to the landlord as per my agreement, quickly escalated due to multiple failed attempts at repairs. The landlord’s repeated "bodge" jobs made the situation progressively worse, eventually rendering the property uninhabitable. I was forced to leave, as it became unsafe to stay. After trying to resolve the issue directly with the landlord, I decided to involve the property management team and informed Cristina about the situation. Unfortunately, her first response was a threat of re-renting fees, rather than offering any real assistance or addressing my concerns. By mid-December, just before Christmas, I was left without Roof windows in the property. Cristina sent one email in December apologizing for the situation, but there were no follow-ups or escalation, which I would have expected from a professional property manager. I found her handling of the situation to be unprofessional, and her actions seemed to favor the landlord’s neglect rather than the tenant’s safety and comfort. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a professional rental experience.
