This agency is extremely coniving and cunning. The staff that we dealt with were always blaming issues and repairs on the tenants us and trying to get us to pay for things that should be covered by the landlord. The staff on the phones are only looking out for the landlords best interests not the customers. They are constantly trying to swindle tenants by not carrying out necessary works to the property and asking for a raise in the rent with no intentions of fixing any current issues. They have also been extremely dishonest and greedy by trying to steal our deposit money and trying to justify taking it based on made up lies about cleaning. Avoid at all costs our landlord was only interested in his rent money and not maintaining the property and offcourse Collinson hall will stick by whatever the landlord wants even if it goes against regulations as long as they get their cut pushing customers to avoid paying maintenance costs etc.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Can I please ask that you get in touch with me. From the information in your review I don’t know who you are or which property/landlord this refers to otherwise I would have made contact directly to try to find a solution. As it is I cant respond or address your comments in any detail.
If you don’t wish to engage directly with me/us, we have the TDS impartial arbitrators that will help resolve any disputes around deposit retention. We also have our own complaints procedure that you can follow if you have a complaint about the company or staff. Should you not be happy with the outcome of that process, you can refer the complaint to The Property Ombudsman, who will independently review your complaint and might make an award to you if we are found at fault.
I know that deposit retention is a tricky area and we do try to be fair to all involved. With regards to your review, I feel I should make a point of stating for the record, that we believe that we have gone above and beyond our contractual responsibilities to address all matters raised by Leaseholders at your development and in a professional and respectful manner.
There are limits to what we can influence and as far as we have been able to we have responded to all queries and issues, promptly and have pushed the contractors and the surveyor to address all concerns raised by you and the other lessees during the course of these works.
Perhaps our role has become blurred and I feel it important to make it clear that it is a third party surveyor that is appointed to and charged with contract administration (fundamentally their role is to oversee the building contract between the contractor and the client).
We have found ourselves in the position of bearing the brunt of criticism when what we are doing is acting in accordance with our contractual arrangements (and beyond) in facilitating communication between the respective parties.
We do acknowledge your frustration but would respectfully ask that you direct your angst at the people who are responsible. We will always try to assist but when we are being unfairly criticised for matters that are not under our control we do have to make it clear where those responsibilities lie; as we have done previously.
Please note that we have no control over your ability to publish a review on Google unless you breach the Google Review Policy but that is down to them to decide.
