I do not know where to begin writing a review for Robinsons Estate Agency Sedgefield Branch. The praise and thanks to the Team and for the service provided is quite extensive!I have worked with Robinsons Sedgefield for many years. Buying my house through them, renting to many different tenants as they moved to the area who then went onto pastures new. And then to this month selling the property as I have relocated. Firstly I must mention Sharon Tweedle - Sharon has worked tirelessly with me for years. An amazing level of service, expert knowledge, ability to keep my tenancy constant, always getting on with all in the chain and finding the right tenant with seamless aptitude. I had total trust in Sharon dealing with my property and giving advice. Sharon really has become a friend. Always there despite how busy the office was - I hear the phones going constantly - and always getting things over the line when we have faced some challenging issues with the property. Thank you so much for the brilliant service and your ability to make all go so well. Huge thank you to the whole Robinsons Sedgefield Team - Ryan and Jade. You also are so professional and so lovely to work with. It really is team work and your expertise and wonderful customer service is second to none. Lovely people and importantly you know what to do and make everything a great experience in quite difficult times when you have property issues. Lovely to work with you all. Several months ago I travelled a long way to view a rental property and stayed overnight. When we got to the property the board had 'Let By' on it (indicating it had gone!) So my wife thought we'd been given an appointment by mistake. The viewing went ahead and we said we wanted the property and the agent told us there were no other applicants and that they would speak to the landlord. Got home on Monday. Heard nothing back from them about our application. Waited Tuesday afternoon. Still heard nothing back so I phoned them and got a brief message that we were not successful with no explanation as to why. On paper we were strong applicants. Had it already been let out? Seemed like a complete waste of time and money to me. They get a 1 because poor communication on this matter and we felt let down.

Please allow staff to wear colour not just black !

Having dealt with both lettings and sales in Robinsons Ingelby office with Donna and Victoria I have to say great customer service from them they certainly work hard and seem as if they are the only two in the office all the time not sure if short staffed or not ! My comments really are Robinsons staff in all branches are all in black all the time so I am assuming this is what they need to wear please Robinsons get with the times and give them colour,black is dowdy,old fashioned and funeral like it’s not inspiring to a customer. Give them choices? Black Paints an old fashioned outlook which ‘could’ reflect on how customers feel about the brand ! Just an observation!!!!

Poor Customer Service

Pictures of the house were poor. Not even one of the back garden. Went to take a look at the house and unfortunately had trouble finding it combined with school traffic as viewing was at 15:30. We got to the house at 15:37 and the guy drove away. Phoned up and they said "he had another appointment" after only waiting less than 7 minutes? Customer service for those buying just seem really poor. Next day we phoned and apparently it had sold so couldn't view it. Think it had sold anyway and that's why they weren't bothered about waiting for the viewing. Anyway, we tried to put an offer on the house to win the auction for the house but person on the phone was very rude and blunt and didn't seem interested at all.

Totally Professional

I have used Robinsons to look after my property for several years now. Trying to find the perfect home to buy was stressful and I found other estate agents rude, Robinsons was not at all, they felt welcoming and happy to help. No matter how many houses I wanted to view - nothing seemed a chore for them, they were the best estate agents in the North East that I dealt with. I dealt with the Darlington and Stockton Branch and both brilliant. Would highly recommend from a buyers point of view and sellers. Great communication and that’s what everyone needs! I'm still waiting for your company to correct the multitude of your mistakes and treatment I mentioned in my previous review.Contact to the office has been quite difficult, unhelpful and neglectfully lacking concern for this still persistent list of issues your various members of staff and now yourself, have left, and continue to leave unresolved.Hence my disgustingly low review of what is supposedly a reputable company, continues.Please do let me know when you intend to correct and put right all your mistakes.As everyone can see, it has been some time since my last review, and it has still not been resolved.

£15,000 worth of advice

In recent years, Keith Mason of Robinsons in Durham, has been extremely helpful in providing advice to me as a residential landlord. He has advised on both lettings and sales of properties. To give one example, he advised on a sale price for the property as it was, and on what it could be with some limited decorative and functional improvements. Whilst the improvements did cost me some money, the £15,000 increase higher sale price more than made up for it!

We have rented 2 properties with robinsons over the last eight years we find that everytime we have to deal with them there are problems.. Like booking a courtesy call (for them to check property is looked after) & they cancel then you get a letter to say you have to give them access to the property!? 🤷‍♀️booked electrician they don't turn up.. 🙄 If you need a repair they seem to take ages to sort it.

THE best estate agent to use if you're selling a property in Ingleby Barwick !! Superb in every way. The initial appraisal by Chris, the manager, was thorough, realistic and the photos and brochure were excellent and the setting up viewings was handled professionally. Once we had agreed a buyer, the process of helping us along the road to completion was done expertly by Victoria , our Sales Negotiator,who went above and beyond in liaising with our buyers and solicitor in order to speed up the sale of our property. We can HIGHLY RECOMMEND .
