Toby Gooding, the MD, found a buyer immediately and gave us very useful advice regarding the various steps involved in the selling process. Stuart Wood, a senior property advisor at the agency was also extremely helpful, promptly answering my emails and coping with some unusual problems. Nothing seemed too much trouble. He made sure that the whole process went smoothly. I highly recommend Urban Patchwork because of their experience, professionalism and attention to detail.

GoogleA very refreshing change to deal with an estate/lettings agency that is so professional, organised, diligent, personable and knowledgeable. And not a pointy shoe or shiny suit in sight. The usual stereotypical estate agent persona doesn’t feature here, and what you get is an experience that is far better than with any other estate agent I’ve ever used. I’ve bought/sold/rented a few properties over the years and I thought all estate agents were roughly the same, but these guys have turned all that on its head. What really struck me was the honesty. I received two offers at the same level through different agents at the same time, yet Urban Patchwork didn’t try to tell me their client’s offer was better. Instead they assessed both, and advised me that the offer that came through another agent was better. Most other agents would focus on their own profit rather than thinking about what is best for the customer, but Urban Patchwork had the integrity to ensure I got what was right for me. So I hired them to manage my property long term, and I know it’s in good hands. Lastly, they are a social enterprise, and give a decent chunk of their profits to a homeless charity. If ever there was an example of an organisation who have got it right, it’s this one.

GoogleTessa and Toby of Urban Patchwork are the best estate agents you’d ever come across. We moved to them from a high street agency because as we were not getting any viewings at all. Their approach to doing things stood out from the very beginning. We got professional photos done and the way they described the property in the listing guaranteed that it got the attention it deserved. When our buyer pulled out unexpectedly, they were able to find a new one in a fortnight. We feel very lucky we were in such good hands and I cannot recommend them more.

GoogleI have been letting property for over 20 years, and this is the first estate agent that I have encountered who really does his homework, both in advance of seeing the property and meeting me for the first time, as well as in the preparation of an excellent prospectus. The search for tenants was thorough, the engagement with propsective tenants at viewings was warm, professional and comprehensive, with communication immediately afterwards with me. The property had been on the market for 3 months with a typical local agent, prior to Urban Patchwork taking it on. They let it within 10 days - down to better quality photos, promotional materials, and good interactions with potential tenants. And they provide free rent collection, which is a useful bonus. I like the fact that they are a social enterprise. Tessa & Toby are definitely a cut above the rest - friendly, professional, and good at what they do. I will definitely use them again in the future.

GoogleWe had a wonderful experience buying a property with Urban Patchworks. Firsty, the pictures of the properties they use to advertise were completely accurate representations of the actual state of the flats, which is typically not the case. Secondly, they were very responsive and even helped us to chase the lawyers. They were always transparent and helpful, and we have highly recommended them to our friends and would highly recommend to others.
