TrustpilotZero contact from sales agent Alesco despite imminent 6 month delay in completion
Having exchanged contracts, paid deposit in June 2023, no updates or news whatsoever regarding the progress of construction of my property at Westminster Park, Liverpool. I today managed to contact someone at Alesco recently, and again today who informed of a potential 6 month delay in completion. They were not able to tell me about the legal situation, which is that if the property is not completed by the end of June 2024, purchasers are entitled to a refund of their deposit. Surely a sales agent should be on top of this, keeping customers informed. If I hadn’t phoned Alesco, I don’t think that they would have contacted me. Naturally at the beginning (last year)they were keen to contact me when they wanted money..

I unfortunately decided to purchase a property through Alesco for £99k. A year later without warning they increased the price to £225k - they did say that they’d refund the deposit if you didn’t want to pay that amount - I said I couldn’t and wanted it back. They’ve refused to refund now for over a year.
