GoogleJacqui Edwards at Reeds Rains Southsea have managed a property for us for the last 3 years. Reeds Rains and Jacqui are always reachable and proactive in dealing with any issues/potential issues as they arise. They are also very efficient providing monthly information, admin, insurance etc and are good at communication with our fantastic tenant.

GoogleWe have used Reeds Rains for a couple of years to rent out our flat, Jacqui Edwards couldn’t be more helpful, she is efficient and is always on hand if there are any problems (not that we encountered many) I would recommend their service to anyone looking for a rental company.

FacebookAs a first time buyer Ashraf made the process very simple and easy, he helped us every step of the way and went the extra mile to explain in detail and answer all the questions we had. We felt reassured and got our mortgage offer quicker than expected. He delivered excellent customer service and kept professional throughout the process. Googletrying to get them to share even the basic information about the costs they charge to sell a property was like pulling teeth. Could not get a straight answer from their staff
Hi Miguel... Guess it could have been worse you could have given us one star! Have you got the right office/agent? Our fees for selling are 1% with a 2k minimum fee subject to vat. I am posting this so it goes on the web so everyone can see. I read you other reviews and you seem entirely reasonable so can I please ask was this review meant for the office here in Portsmouth, Hampshire??? GoogleDan & Steve delivered again - the dream team! We brought our first house off Reeds Rains in 2011 & then sold it once we had outgrown it with them in 2016. We went back to them to sell our next house after being massively let down by a local estate agent in North End. Within 2 weeks we had 2 very good viewings and achieved full asking price for our house in a very tough market. The skill & expertise these guys have is mind-blowing & Dan particularly held everything together & got the sale over the line. We cannot thank the guys enough for all they have done for our family. These really are the best estate agents to deal with & are very communicative, helpful & calm. GoogleI did not have the pleasure to deal with them as I only called asking for a property to rent, only managed to say who I was going to be moving in with ( myself, my wife and my son) and was told that they didn't have anything. The agent didn't even take my number or email in case any new properties came up, I considered it not very professional from my point of view.
Hi Riccardo, Sorry you have found it necessary to write a 2 star review. I guess however you could have made it 1 star so are grateful for that! ;) Moving on and apologies here but we do not currently offer a mailing/calling list for lettings. Crumbs I cringe whilst writing this and apologise to you in advance, however here goes....We are currently overwhelmed by the numbers of tenants, and at the same time have virtually nothing available to let. Our current policy to be fair to everyone is to list new properties on zoopla, righmove etc and then book say the first 10 callers to view. From that we normally a choice. It is not uncommon for us to list a property in the afternoon and then take if off the next morning after an avalanche of enquiries. I think that rather sums up what's wrong with the housing market! An uneven balance between landlords and tenants. Oddly a number of years ago it was level and we would record tenants details and call them about new properties. But now all our effort in searching for customers goes to finding new landlords and properties to let. Is this really fair? I donk know? But we take these decisions on a commercial basis. We do accept its becoming harder for tenants to find and if we could we would genuinely like to help you. But more than ever the onus is on the tenant to search and be proactive in looking and calling the agent. Despite the above I wonder whether the member of staff you spoke to actually explained this? Sadly maybe not! If so please can you email me direct the time and date you called or your number so I can find the recording of the conversation. Lastly if you have not yet found we recommend setting up an alert on say Rightmove that will email you new properties when they come on? GoogleAs I live in Kent and was selling my late Mum's retirement flat in Southsea from a considerable distance, I needed an agent I could really trust and rely on to keep beavering away in a slow and difficult market. I'm pleased to say that Reed Rains delivered in every way. From the beginning, Dan and his exceptionally strong team, stood out from the many agents I saw, and proved to be a real find. I was kept regularly informed, the communication and advice at every stage was honest, straightforward and realistic and Dan's quiet but highly informed and experienced persistence paid off and achieved a sale exactly in line with the price range he had advised. I really grew to trust Dan's judgement and felt he was batting for me throughout, including going the extra mile to really research and understand the specific micro market attaching to my Mother's and nearby properties. I'm not easily impressed but felt Dan and, unusually, every member of his team I dealt with, to be superb. An outstanding service in every way which I would unhesitatingly recommend.

GoogleI have not rented/purchased with them (yet), but they showed exemplary customer service on the phone, multiple times. Not only they know everything about the properties they advertise, they are very helpful giving you advice even if you are not their clients. They are also flexible, which is definitely a 5* I wish I had met them earlier. They usually have fantastic properties which go very quick, in some cases in less than 24 hours, and I can understand why.

GoogleI chose Reeds Rains Southsea as I was recommended by a friend. I can honestly say 5 stars is not enough for these guys. Daniel Barrett dealt with us directly, he was exceptional. He was honest from start to finish . I do not think we would have completed without him. He chased both sides almost daily and always reported back to me with his findings. He has a common sense approach to his work and he is extremely likable. When you call the office the call was always answered professionally and promptly, everytime I left a message I always received a call back. We were selling a two up two down house in Fratton which was a vacant property. We had first time buyers with no chain. The buyers solicitors they chose were awful, coming in a close second were my solicitors. Without Reeds Rains I would have gone mad. My faith in estate agents has been restored. Highly recommended.

GoogleHaving spent some time with other agents looking to buy and sell our home, we visited Reeds Rains in Southsea. immediately it fely like a breath of fresh air, the team were highly profesional, made us feel important to them with out the cliches and we felt very relaxed and confident with them. As a result they not only sold our home but also found and negotiated a great price on our new home which went through very smoothly and quickly. GoogleI have now bought and sold through Reeds Rains with 5 years inbetween. Daniel and Steven are without a doubt the best estate agents I've ever dealt with - highly communicative, caring and thorough. Buying and selling is stressful at the best of times but made so much easier thanks to the service they provide. My only disappointment is that they don't cover the area we are moving too!
