Service is Rubbish. Things are different after you paid and stayed in the property as a tenant. While the staff at the Soton office are nice, staff at their supporting center at Cardiff are nightmare. Our agent there is not willing to help. They always say they'll do it asap or contacting me the same day; the promises are never fulfilled and they just delayed their work day by day. Without my call time after time, they will never give any reply to me or give any care to my problem. Their service does not worth the expensive administration fee.

I Would Not Recommend this Company

Basic initial sale services were fine but after an offer was accepted contact deteriorated significantly to the point where I had to constantly chase the office for any updates and push them to obtain information from further down the chain, where there was an issue that needed resolving.I would call the office and ask for an update, I would be promised a call back later that day but wouldn't receive one. This happened several times. In the early stages I also sent a number of emails but not one was even acknowledged let alone answered. I also raised some questions during the course of this process and now post completion there are still some that have not been answered.Where most houses are sold via various internet sites it is the post offer acceptance service that is important. You rely on your estate agent to gather information, answer queries and push the sale through, after all you are normally paying a significant sum for this service and the problem solving skills of the staff involved. Unfortunately this service was missing completely. Ironically I actually received a better service from the estate agent that sold us our new property, a company that I didn't have to pay anything to!

Kemp Town Branch mis-sold their legal services and I lost £1100. NO HONOUR, NO INTEGRITY in this company

I was mis-sold their Sequence legal services & lost £1100 when they failed to honour their guarantee. Ed Middle, a Branch Director, emailed a "no quibble money back guarantee" & then failed to honour it - the lack of honour & integrity goes right to the top. After wasting 2 months making a complaint to their compliance, they fobbed me off telling me to take my complaint to the Ombudsman - I assume they're hoping I just go away.

Second time getting a mortgage with Jack Johnson!

I used Fox and Sons as mortgage brokers twice now and the have been brilliant both times!Jack Johnson explained every step of the process really clearly and found us good rates. He was pro-active and patient the whole way! I would massively recommend him.

Fox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful…

Fox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful service, my tenancy ended in Feb 2015, heard nothing from them untill July 2016 when they took me to court for unpaid rent from Feb 2015 till December 2015 even though I wasn't living at the property. The case went to court early 2016 & it got dismissed as I proved I vacated the property. September 2016 they took me back to court for the same reasons & once again the case got dismissed,I've been chasing them for a copy of my file that they have during my tenancy since July 2016 & still nothing from them, they don't even bother to call or email me back & they just palm me off with excuses everytime I go into the branch. Once again I received a email from my solicitor stating they are taking me back to court next month for the same reasons as the last 2 times! I have proved twice now that I left the property & this is seriously beyond a joke!

Very disappointed in service!

Very bad experience trying to sell our flat.Inexperienced young agents with little knowledge of the property holding viewings. Not turning up on occasions. Bad liason with potential buyer, took more than 6 months only for buyer to pull out! Not promoting the property, said they had London investors, so had wider coverage than local agents, another failure. Will not use them again!

Always in touch and persistent

Always in touch and persistentI didn't end up buying with Fox & Sons but they were one of the only agencies out of the several I was in touch who constantly followed up and kept trying, even when I kept saying no to places I visited. Sometimes the properties they suggested really did not match my criteria, but this was better than other agencies who would show you one property then disappear if you didn't like it.

I would recommend that you avoid:

I would recommend that you avoid:Brighton Office valued my property far higher than any other agent. When challenged, they said they could find a buyer and give them a chance, just for 1 month. We verbally agreed that at the end of the month there would be no notice period. They now threaten me with their 'small print' and demand a notice period. Pretty stupid really, as there is no way I would accept any offer made through them even if I agreed to the false notice period. Maybe I should just let them waste their time. Let's assume this to be their flawed memory rather than flawed honesty.

Completely incompetent from start to…

Completely incompetent from start to finish at Hastings branch. Nothing was ever the estate agent’s responsibility. We ended up wasting weeks on a purchase being told that documents and safety certificates etc were ‘imminent’. Nothing ever transpired so we eventually had to pull out having lost £1k on solicitors fees and surveys. I asked for a formal way to make a complaint, but my email was simply ignored, hence this review.

Fox & Sons Crawley - Horrendous

What can I say about this Estate Agent, nothing complimentary that's for sure. We received no feedback from them after viewings what so ever, I had to constantly call them. They arranged an open day for our house so we went out for the day, they failed to lock my back door. Shoddy! After the open day, still no feedback until I waited a few days and called them. The only other viewings arranged by them did not even fit in with the times I had advised would be convenient, so it meant I had to change arrangements with my dog walker at short notice. On one occasion they called to confirm a viewing that I knew nothing about! We then saw a property we wanted to view in Bexhill, even though we had been told Fox and Sons had this vast network of agents throughout the UK we could not be found on their data base, even though we were registered with their Crawley branch. After viewing this property we made a full asking price offer. I left a message on Fox & Sons Crawley answerphone to let them know we had made an offer, which had been accepted in principle and asked if someone could call me on the MondaY. No-one called, I had to call them yet again. I took this opportunity to ask the manager why we were not on the Bexhill database, only to be told, "it was probably someone who didn't know how to use the system" I also asked what they could do to get some viewings or if there was any marketing activity they could do to help get things moving, bearing in mind we really wanted the property in Bexhill, the response was "it's all about the price and that a reduction would need to be substantial" Having since had several other estate agents to give us a market appraisal, they have all valued our property at £10,000 less than Fox & Sons did. it would seem to me they tell you the house is worth more to get your business, then when nothing happens they make you reduce the price. Trying to move home is stressful enough without having to deal with people who quite clearly are not fit for purpose! I would never use this agent again, even to the point where I am looking to buy a property I won't even consider it if it is up for sale with Fox and Sons, the house we had liked so much in Bexhill and had our offer agreed in principle, then appeared on Rightmove a few days later with Sold STC across the advert. No-one even had the courtesy to call me or send me an email to let me know. Poor service seems endemic in this company.

Have been on the receiving end of their service and not happy at all about it. Had to travel twice to Southampton to collect keys for a flat i purchased through them last year, despite communication in advance about my intentions (and i live 60 miles away!). More recently, i was promised to be called back for a flat for sale i enquired about; never received one and lost other potential viewings in the meantime! Poor attitude. Bad customer service; just endless 'apologies' for poor service (we must have lost your phone number i am told!!!- it would have been more believable to say 'a dog ate the piece of paper with your number'). I hope they wake up one day and realise that customer service makes or breaks a business. As the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire and other (rather poor) reviews here reinforce my point! F&S; if you believe that any of the above is not true, do get in touch as i have all the evidence to support the above! Personally i will never deal with them again in any capacity.

The most utterly inept estate agent I have ever dealt with - there are good ones out there, this isn't one of them. They mis-informed the vendor (of the property we bought) of our offer which caused us to lose the property temporarily to another prospective buyer and lied about the reason, the vendor managed to bypass them and contact us directly when it fell through and we completed it between us and the solicitors. Every subsequent time Fox and Sons did get involved they actually inserted further delays into the purchase and 3 months on, they still haven't collected their sign. They also had the cheek to mailshot everyone in the area with a photo of the house we bought saying how they had helped sell it for the asking price - they didn't and we have asked them not to use us in any more promotional material. Absolutely awful service, if you ever wondered why estate agents have a bad name, take a look here and all will become clear.

Amazing team at Fox and sons in southampton, the person handling my case was Jessica guy and she was a utter legend, always made time for me (and still does) and she was the person who took the time to find me my first home, I highly recommend to any one to go in and ask for her! As long as Jessica works there I’ll always be more than happy to go back to find my next home!

I recently purchased my first property here with the help to buy scheme. The whole process was incredibly quick and smooth as everything was done in house, including the mortgage advisors and solicitors. I was especially impressed with the support of Aaron Cassidy, Estate Agent and Scott Mackay, Mortgage Advisor (no longer works here) - they were really personable and had my best interest at heart.

We couldn’t be happier with the service from Fox & Sons, Southampton. After a long time on the market with another estate agent, Fox & Sons got us an offer we accepted within weeks. Aaron & the team have been so easy to contact, very responsive & have provided us great support with our sale/next move. We couldn’t recommend them enough - thanks team!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Absolutely appalling service. Last year it took us ages to get through to them in regards to renting, we found out at the last minute we've got the place. They kept lying to us they didn't receive all the paperwork. One year later, trying to renew the place and absolute pain again. We've been passed on to several people, still trying to renew. I certainly don't recommend them, as their customer service is just disgusting.
