Really great mediation and help by Lily and Charters

I had a really good experience when I rented an apartment from Charters… they were very thorough and kept the communication open throughout. However, due to personal circumstances I had to cut my lease short and was really worried as to how I would be moving forward. I had really good support from Charters, especially Lily Moore who was amazing in always getting back to me on how to proceed further after each step.. she was the best mediator between the landlord, who himself was very understanding of my changing circumstances. Late in 2022 after many months with a keen buyer waiting to buy the house I had renovated in Kent, I finally found the perfect house only just coming onto the market in Hampshire! I was top of a long-standing sale chain of five over in Kent - but time was running out & the mortgage of one couple was about to expire... As a result of this, we were suddenly all put under huge pressure to simultaneously move out!I had been interested but had ruled out two houses in Hampshire. A local friend offered to view another house which had suddenly come onto the market - using her mobile & providing a very useful running commentary & asking the owners questions from me. This house was the perfect size, layout & location for me! I was also able to ask the questions & make an offer.The sellers decided to sell to me & then offered to move into their holiday home - as my time to purchase was rapidly running out! Their lovingly renovated house was up for sale with Charters Estate Agents in Romsey & Charters took on board the necessity for some extremely speedy action - as did my solicitor in Kent who handled the legal side of both sale & purchase for me.Charters in Romsey kept in constant touch with everyone involved & relayed news to & from me. My first contact with Charters was Simon Edser who came to value the property. At that stage I was unsure if I would sell or rent so his colleague Jessica Crouch also visited to add her expertise. Both were kind, helpful and efficient - including advice as to how to prepare the house for the photographer. After I'd signed up, Kevin Ashley and his team took over to arrange viewings. The house sold very quickly and then Stephen Henry took over to progress the sale. Long, long wait for probate during which time Stephen made sure I was updated on the buyer's position and other matters. As a first-time seller, I found working with Charters - every single member of the team I encountered - to be a smooth process. Simon was kind enough to recommend a local conveyancing solicitor and I felt I was in very safe hands throughout the process. Top marks all round.
