As first time buyers, Richard was pivotal in the process of purchasing our first house - in fact, I’m not quite sure what we would have done without him! When first showing us around the house, we could tell he was invested in both the property and the people involved; arranging extra visits was also never a problem. Throughout the process he was always contactable, always willing to help and always went the extra mile in both his actions and words - he always made an effort to further build our relationship in his emails and we really felt valued as both clients and acquaintances. We were in an unorthodox situation with our mortgage, which was frustrating for everyone involved in the chain, but his calm, personable and professional manner always shone through and despite some bumps along the road, we managed to successfully complete with all things taken care of. We have been in our first home for a few months now and we would have no problem in recommending Folklands, and in particular Richard. Thank you for everything! Calum and Daina

We used Folklands to sell our existing property and buy our new house. The service we received from Richard, David and Jeannie was excellent throughout. All queries were answered swiftly, and the team were very quick to follow up on responses from buyers, vendors and solicitors in order to ensure that both sale and purchase were pushed through as quickly as possible. No problem was too small, and even multiple requests to visit our purchase property were accommodated and arranged at short notice, if possible to do so. We were never rushed by Richard when viewing the property; he always made us feel valued, and was interested in assisting us as best as he was able to. Having had very different experiences with other Estate Agents in the past, we are very pleased to say that our experience with Folklands was quite the opposite. We really can’t recommend them enough! If we do decide to sell again in the future, we wouldn’t hesitate to use their services.

We met and discussed selling our flat with a couple of different estate agents. Both David and Richard were so helpful and informative. We felt we had a more personal experience with Folklands instead of speaking to lots of different estate agents in the same office that didn't know our situation. They would always return our emails and phone calls. Both David and Richard have lots of experience and you can see this in the way they handled the sale of our flat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Folklands for both rental management and sales. We used their property management service to rent out our flat for a year, and from finding tenants to pricing, marketing and managing the property, their service was spot on. When we decided to sell, again we relied on Richard, Paul and the team who helped us market our flat against a challenging market backdrop. We had our first offer within a week and then further interest, which reassured us that despite demand for flats having declined, we had set the asking price spot on. Throughout the process, Paul proactively helped us so much to keep things moving, despite solicitor "challenges". I'm hoping we won't need to move again soon, but for any landlords or sellers in the South Croydon area, I couldn't fault Folklands and would use them again.

Thank you to Richard and all of the team at Folklands. We had a very challenging time with the sale of our flat. Our freeholder was difficult and our solicitors were ineffective but one thing we did not have to worry about was our Estate Agent. They managed the process with our buyer and kept the information and communication flowing. We also found out from the agents we were buying from, that they had been excellent in keeping them informed of progress to help protect our onward purchase. We found the instruction process easy as well as the communication with regard to viewings. The marketing was good and the team were proactive in ensuring we had feedback.

Our first encounter with Folklands saw us meet with Sophie, who was absolutely delightful and full of local knowledge when showing us our, now, house in East Croydon. It was such a pleasure working with Folklands to purchase my first house. Paul was very instrumental in getting the purchase over the line. He was very much involved in the process and consistently checking in on both sides. I had lots of problems throughout the sell, such as my solicitors closing down right before exchange of contracts without them notifying me but Paul was there to help in linking me up with a good solicitor to carry on the sell with only a month left to complete. Honest advice from the very first interaction. I first spoke with Folklands when on the market with another agent, just trying to obtain a bit of local advise. Richard was exceptional in his area knowledge, understanding of the market for the type of property I needed to sell and completely honest in his appraisal. 6+ months later when ready to go back to market, I had no hesitation in instructing and was not let down. A swift sale was agreed, but unfortunately for all involved changes in the market and an awkward Block Management company presented a large number of hurdles, which drew the transaction out for an uncomfortable length. However, the persistence of both Richard and my solicitor meant we kept the buyer on board and eventually we successfully concluded on the sale. Were it not for Richard's excellent communication, I'm sure we'd have lost our buyer some time ago.
